Desperately Seeking Croissants! I knew what I was doing this morning when I went to bed last night. Visiting The Bakery Colombian Café for their delicious almond croissants. Early enough where there were no crowds yet, I ordered my mocha latte with almond milk and 1 of the 3 remaining almond croissants. I was tempted to get all 3 but I thought of anyone else like me, who might have been desperately seeking one & I took them all. So I got one. I mention to the friendly person taking my order that I was sad that I couldn't make it this past week when they had the strawberry croissant & to my delight, I was told, "we have them & they are ready". Omg! 1 please. It's going to be a good day! I sat by the window to take in the view and enjoyed the yummiest croissant & a latte that was truly made with love (you can tell when it is) Of course I could not visit this Colombian gem without buñuelos. They come mini, 3 for $2, the perfect snack for that afternoon coffee that future me will love! If you haven't made your way to this cute café & indulged in the delicious drinks, caffeinated or otherwise, & bitten into the pastries and Colombian favorites, please do!!...

Never again. I ordered a ham, cheese & egg sandwich. She asked me "none of the options on the menu, no red sauce, no tomato, no lettuce?" I said "correct, none of that, just ham, cheese & egg" I got brought a whole entire sandwich with everything I specified I did not want. I tried eating it but it was soggy and fell apart, I left the whole sandwich. I ordered a papaya smoothie, zero negative stars. The smoothies are not smoothie texture at all, they are just like as liquid as a regular juice. I also ordered a fresh guava and cheese empanada, cheese was not melted all the way through, just a chunk of cheese in there. Abuela pudding seemed like it been sitting there all day, not good either. Arepas are not fresh, they are also placed with scrambled eggs for who knows how long.

I made the manager aware, he tried to compensate me by switching the flavor of smoothie. I accepted it because I felt bad at this point. Sorry not sorry but I would not recommend this spot. I had two different orders. 30$ wasted for no good...

Alright, coming from a Latin American country we all know that these items are not that expensive to make. I understand that in the US prices are higher and this part of town might be more expensive to operate a business in, but if I am paying an incredibly high markup for the food I will go in expecting it to be good. I went and bought some pastries and they were cold and the taste was not worth the price. Ended up paying almost 20$ for 4 items, and after that I am being prompted for a tip? I really want to be able to take my friends to a good latin bakery but unless the product quality (taste, presentation, etc) justifies the price difference I don’t think I will be coming back very often. Sure, I’ll probably will drop back maybe once or twice a year for now to see if the quality has improved. I don’t doubt a lot of people would say the food here tastes great, but I am sure it will be those that have never had the chance to go to Latin America and try it...

If you’re anywhere near Avalon Park and craving something freshly baked, this bakery is an absolute must-visit! My daughter goes to this bakery almost every morning, so I decided to try it… and…. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of pastries and that cozy, “Hallmark” charm.Everything is my favorite color- PINK!!!! This place is super cute!!!Everything looks like it came straight out of a magazine but tastes even better! Their croissants are perfectly flaky, the cupcakes are moist and beautifully decorated, and the coffee pairs flawlessly with any pastry you choose. I had a bagel with egg, bacon, and avocado!!! Delish!!! I especially loved how friendly and attentive the staff is!!! They genuinely make you feel like family. Whether you’re grabbing a quick treat or ordering for a special occasion, this bakery will NOT disappoint!

Spur of the moment stop this morning with my wife. We had talked about trying it out and just happened to be in the area early this morning. First impression as you walk in; very bright and clean. The staff was nice and all the selections looked appetizing. I went with the pan de bono and a cortadito. She got jugo de mora (blackberry) with water instead of milk and an arepa de mozzarella. My pan the bono was fresh and tasty, the cortadito was very good also. I did take a bite out of my wife's arepa (for research purposes) and it was beautifully cheesy. The jugo de mora was ok. She said it was too watery. We're planning on coming back soon because the empanadas looked more homemade than most places and we've been trying to find the best empanadas in town. Stay tuned... I'll let you know how that goes. Definitely worth checking out.
