Very unhappy with the service I received. I ordered online and went in to pick up my order at the time they said it would be ready. When I got there, they told me it would be another 20 minutes since they were slammed and had not expected to have so many people come in (this was a Saturday night). After waiting in my car I went in to pick up my order. When I got home and opened the containers, I saw a completely different order than the one I placed online. I was absolutely positive I had not ordered the ramen I received. I called the restaurant and spoke with a nice lady who apologized and said they would issue vouchers for 2 free meals. Then I received a call from someone named Raymond who said that no, he would not be giving me the vouchers because I received what I ordered (basically calling me a liar). I assured him that I knew exactly what I ordered but I had no way to double check the order because the receipt that the online system sent via email didn't show any details about what I had just purchased. It only showed the total amount spent. Raymond argued with me over the phone and when I told him he had lost a customer, he really didn't seem to care. Calling a customer a liar and revoking a voucher is definitely not good business. Also, the quality of the food was poor - very bland. I will...

Best ramen in UCF area!!!!

Gyoza:★★★★☆ Karaage:★★★★★ Cooked Salmon Rice Ball:★★★★☆ Tuna Mayo Rice Ball:★★★☆☆ Umeboshi Rice Ball:★★★★★ Shio Ramen:★★★☆☆ Tonkatsu Ramen:★★★★★

Ramen Takagi is a smaller sized restaurant with a great selection of very well made ramen bowls and appetizers.

Do not skip out on trying one of their appetizers! The gyoza was delicious but my heart definitely belongs to the karaage chicken appetizer. The karaage were juicy and tender and such as great accompaniment to the ramen.

The restaurant has a great selection of rice balls but if I had to recommend, for sure order the cooked salmon and umeboshi (pickled plum) rice balls. The pickled plum rice balls were my favorite and were a perfect combination of sweet, sour, and salty for the rice!

On to the most anticipated portion of the review: The ramen!

The shio ramen was light flavorful and delicious but the tonkatsu definitely blew me away. I could not get enough of how rich and creamy the broth was! With each slurp umami was coating every inch of the noodles and toppings. Do not skip out on their amazing tonkatsu!!! If you guys like eggs I would for sure recommend adding extra. Their marinated eggs pair so deliciously with both broths I tried.

Can’t...

Wanted to try a new ramen place and saw how many people rave about Takagi! I was actually pretty disappointed, this place did not live up to the hype. The broth is pretty oily and the pork is very fatty. We tried the shio ramen, shoyu ramen, gyoza and smoked salmon onigiri. The shio had a very light flavor, when I was definitely expecting more of an umami punch. The shoyu was better flavor wise but doesn't rank in any top lists for me. The noodles were thin and tasty, but lacked the elastic bite I love in ramen noodles. The egg was the best part!! Creamy and flavorful!! The gyoza tasted pretty good and came with a spicy soy sauce. The crunchy lattice on the gyoza was different and tasty. Not much filling but definitely good flavors. The smoked salmon onigiri was good! I liked that it came wrapped in a nest plastic wrapper so the nori didn't get soggy. I would definitely get the onigiri again, though I would have preferred more salmon. Over this place was nice, but definitely not the best ramen I have had, that being said it was not the worst and I would come back to try other things!! Service was wonderful and the candy at the end was a...

There’s a reason this place won the local ramen competition. Found this place thru orlando foodie forum and multiple people recommended it and they were right. This place makes the ramen at Domu seem like its Taco Bell quality. The entire female staff tonight was amazing and the ladies in the kitchen were killing it with the quality of food coming out. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu with a side of chicken karaage. The karaage was fresh , crisp , flavorful and of course hot out of the fryer. The sauce that comes with it is nice and complimenting while not being overpowering. The pork broth appears to be high quality , it’s a consistent color and consistency, it has a creamy mouth feel to it and a bit of that collagen sticky lips feeling. The chashu pork was cooked yet tender and still had a bit of texture to it. The noodles are not overcooked and they even make sure that they are fully drained of water as any additional water could dilute the broth mixture. I can’t find a single fault with my food nor the dishes or service. Drove over 40 miles to eat here and did not disappoint.
