First time visiting here. Heard good things. Mainly that they make Zeppoles. Not many places in Florida make them, hardly any to be exact. So my son and I went to try them out. We went in, waited about 15 mins for a table no big deal. Friday evening, they were busy. Well the first thing that caught my attention was the music they were playin. Old Freestyle music which brought me way back to my clubbin days. I swear if I didn't have a procedure done on my foot today, I would have been dancing my butt off, show these youngsters how it is done. Anyways, our server was Clarissa, a nice young lady. Very personable, very attentive. We ordered Garlic Knots for an appetizer, Plain and Hawaiian pizza, and of course an order or Zeppoles. Wanted to see if they are as good as mine. Lol Let me say. The Garlic knots were absolutely Awesome. No Joke, they were soft and moist. Delicious. Then came the pizza. Judge me all you want, but I Love Hawaiian pizza. So we got half plain and half hawaiian. The pizza was really good. Maybe my only complaint would be they only make a 16" pie. So the slices are a little smaller. I like the 18" pies just for the bigger slices. Other then that, no complaints about the pizza. Not concerning enough to ding them on this review. Then the Zeppoles came out. My son is a Zeppole junkie. When I make them he devours them. They were good. Came out fresh and hot, with plenty of powder. Needles to say we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Side note. They were playing old Chicago Bulls Championship games on the TV. I could watch Jordan (The G.OA.T. there is no debate ), all day. So between the music and the TV and okay the food too. Lol! We had a great experience. Only to be topped off by meeting Mario the owner. Great guy. From Brooklyn. I am from The Bronx. But I won't hold that against him. Got to talking a bit. Was kind enough to send me his playlist. Talk about customer service. All in all, we will be back. Count on it. Highly recommend taking a trip over and visiting these folks. It is more then just a pizzeria. It is like being...

The Chicken Cutlet Vodka Stuffed Garlic Knot is DEFINITELY an option here and let me tell you, this sandwhich is sincerely one of my all time favorites! This is a "if you were on death row and had one last meal, what would it be?" level sandwhich! The vodka sauce, melty mozz, loads of garlic, parm, chicken cutlet are harmonious, absolutely hit, and is a bit mind-blowing. Everything I thought it would be and more. I also picked up their Lasagna slice with Pesto, a Bianca slice and they were delicious 🤌🤌🤌
The owners put their heart and soul into their business, and it comes through in their food. Thanks again Mario for making things right. The Dough Boyz deserve all the hype. Definitely in my restaurant rotation going forward, bravo👏👏👏
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I called tonight at 830PM to order the chicken cutlet garlic knot sandwhich, but with vodka sauce instead of marinara sauce. However, I was told they "can't do that because the vodka sauce is 'made to order'"?? That doesn't make any sense to me. So, if I wanted the vodka pizza on their menu, they would make the sauce "fresh to order". But they can't for a vodka chicken garlic knot sandwhich? Sounds like they just didn't want to make the sandwhich.
Super disappointed because I had my heart set on this the whole day for dinner and planned on getting a slice or two on the side as well. All the hype I had for Dough Boyz went...
Read moreI can only speak on the Brooklyn Sicilian pie. For florida, the pizza is fine. It’s definitely the better option. i live in gravesend but also spend a lot of time in orlando. i think my hopes were too high based on reviews and pictures. looks too much like a replica of a very specific pizzeria in brooklyn so as someone who grew up on that pizza, it’s not at all the same but impressive for orlando.
the vodka sauce was horrendous, i’m sorry 😩we thought a wrong dish was brought to the table (looked like mac and cheese). the color and taste were off. i was really hoping for this to be great.
lastly, the girls serving are trying their best but they seem to be overwhelmed. two different waitresses brought over zeppolies (twice) that we didn’t order. we wanted the receipt printed but the machine was out of paper. at that point, the place so busy and our waitress was now ringing up customers at the front. we just wanted to leave. now that we’re doing the math, the total isn’t adding up.
just meh all around. when we walked in, there were zero slices on display. i thought they were closed. it was 6pm. the girl at the front said they were too busy and stopped making individual slices because they were closing in 2 hrs. if we wanted pizza, we had to order a whole pie. not sure if that’s them trying to upsell? just sounds out of the ordinary for a pizzeria. oh and they’re advertising they have eggplant so we tried to order eggplant only to be told they were sold out.
the place is doing business though. wish them well and hope they get all the kinks out so i...
