Just had a terrible customer service experience at this location. I was the only customer there and it took at least 20 minutes to get my two smoothies. There was an employee picking up a check who stood and talked with an on duty employee the entire time. Another employee was drawing palm trees on cups. The only employee that was working was a young woman whose tag said Megan. She took my order, made my quesadillas and then came over to the blender area and discovered no one was starting my order. She then made the smoothies. They literally had 7 employees on duty and only one was doing anything. I will be going back to the East Lansing location. I wanted to try this location as it is...
Read moreI’m really not one to complain, but all the kids working tonight were goofing off, I walked in and got my entire order while the poor man who was in there way before me hadn’t gotten his smoothie. When he asked the kid about it he looked clueless, went to the back where all the other kids were goofing off playing with hair nets and asked them if any of them made it. Then instead of helping him, the girl came out and said “oh ya, you should make that”. I know they’re kids but still, goofing off is fine if customer service is taken care of....
Read moreI called tropical smoothie to ask about ingredients in their Mango Monsoon smoothie - I ended up speaking with Steven, the GM and he read off the ingredients to me. Turns out I’m allergic to something in it so he went through all the smoothies on the menu that wouldn’t contain that ingredient. I ended up choosing an island green, no sugar, add blueberries!
He didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience at all - it was so refreshing to call a restaurant and have someone NOT treat my allergies like an inconvenience....
