Service - 0 Food - 0 11 of us walked in on May 28th at about 6:30, door was open - as we walked in the Sandwich Maker - "She said the Dining Room is closed"! The cashier (Super Sweet) convinced the sandwich maker that we could eat inside. No sign on door when dining room is closed. We proceeded to order all vegetarian sandwiches - think it's the cheese and avocado with cucumbers etc. I wish I took a picture - four sandwiches came out there was 1/2 a teaspoon of avocado between the two slices of cheese and then the sandwich maker comes out and tells in her loud voice they are out of cucumbers and pickles - when asked about the amount of avocado on the sandwiches - she said that's all we put on each sandwich by this time the sweet cashier was off shift and a young man came in and said he was the manager - from that point on yes it did get ugly and a shouting match started our point was how can you call this an avocado and cheese and on top of that being out of cucumbers. pickles sandwich maker we did order 11 full sandwiches, chips and some sodas the manager was rude and and yes after much yelling back and forth we were given a full refund - we gave back the 4 or 5 sandwiches that were first made gave back the chips and an hour was wasted while all this took place. we proceeded to drive to Santa Fe where we ordered $120.00 worth of food from Taco Bell and ate at our Hotel! the WORST customer service - especially since we eat sandwiches at our local Jimmy John's in Waco and being Hotel owners - Service and Hospitality is ingrained in us by our...
Read moreA co-worker and I recently ordered food and I got the Beach Club on sliced wheat from Jimmy John's, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish.
Firstly, the bread was a major letdown. It was soggy in the middle, indicating that it hadn't been properly cooked. This made for an unpleasant texture and an overall unappetizing sandwich base.
To add insult to injury, the lettuce in the sandwich was clearly aged and wilted, further detracting from any semblance of freshness. But the biggest offense was the glaring omission of meat, cheese and avocado spread. Yes, you read that right - my sandwich arrived with no meat or cheese included. It was essentially just soggy bread with sad, wilted lettuce.
When I brought this to the attention of the manager, they did apologize and had a new sandwich made and delivered and she did include two chocolate chip cookies in the bag. However, the fact that there was no quality control before it left the store the first time is concerning. It's alarming to think that such a basic oversight could have easily led to someone unknowingly consuming a subpar and potentially unsafe meal.
Overall, my experience with the Beach Club on sliced wheat from Jimmy John's was extremely disappointing. The lack of proper cooking, poor quality ingredients, and absence of basic quality control measures make it difficult to recommend this...
Read moreI should have realized something was wrong when we were the only customers during a Monday lunch rush... We got our order to go, for the long drive home and foolishly left without checking the food first, otherwise I would have returned it and asked for a refund. The lazy women "working" there took their sweet time to get off their big fat behinds and waddle over to take our order, looking annoyed over having to do their job. The fountain drink tasted like mildew, I poured it out on the side of the highway, afraid it was going to make me sick if I drank it. The sandwiches were mostly lettuce, and I mean a LOT of lettuce, it was essentially a lettuce sandwich on soggy wet bread with a few hints of meat and cheese, definitely not worth the money. It's not that hard to make a sandwich, most women are good at it, but these two are definitely not. After seeing some of the other reviews, I wish I had looked it up first and realized what I was in for. Spare me the discounts and offers of free food, I would not eat there again even if it was free. Locals predict this location will be gone soon, I can see why that's...
