This place is truly a Gem. I usually eat at a restaurant multiple times before I review. Everyone knows that I am brutally honest when it comes to food and customer service. I have done those jobs in the past, and I feel all customer's should have the best experience possible. I figure, if I pay for a service, I expect to get a damn good one. So here we go. 3rd time- Greeted by Maria. She said " Welcome. Sit anywhere you like, feel at home. Well, we were a rowdy bunch and Maria, and Juan were right there laughing along with us. The food was Amazing. Pancho was our server, and a damn amazing one. Always making sure we were happy, and joking around with us. 4th time- Again, greeted by Maria,Pancho, and Juan. Again, the food was Amazing. Just gets better and better. Played a joke on Pancho, and starting to feel more like family. I asked Pancho if he could make my chili a bit hotter, he said " I got you". When My food came, the chili was truly one of the best I have ever eaten. My daughter is extremely allergic to just about anything under the sun. She had an allergic reaction, and all the staff was truly worried about her well-being, and even went above and beyond to help her. Owners are the best. Food is absolutely great, and I didn't mention, an awesome bowling alley as well. I seen a couple of bad reviews, and here is my opinion on those. Again, I am brutally honest. Who ever left the negative review Is Full of it!!!!! These owner's do not have a mean bone in their body, and they run a very clean business. You have to try this place. It is a must!!!!! You will Love...
Read moreHonestly I’m very disappointed. Made me miss my fav Mexican spots. The food came out cold, and they got my order wrong. The morning after—- I currently have a very bad stomach ache. The building was water damaged and I imagine the kitchen is dirty. I wish I had never gone here and wasted money. My bfs dad got a beer and was disgusted by it because he said it tasted like they didn’t clean the tap 😭 so nasty. The other part— DO NOT order drinks from here specifically Margaritas! Let me preface by saying I am NOT a drinker. I have drinks like once a month sometimes more sometimes less. I have no tolerance for alcohol but these drinks didn’t even give me a buzz. We got a pitcher of margaritas but neither myself or my bf felt anything afterwards. I didn’t really taste the alcohol and it just tasted like syrup. The waitress was kind enough but that doesn’t make up for this place. I will never go back and avoid at all costs. We spent like $100 on three people and I was not satisfied. The food just had disgusting mushy vibes and even tho the beef is supposed to be high quality I didn’t...
Read moreStaff was friendly as soon as I got here. The atmosphere was decent as well.
I was given a standard bowl of chips that were slightly stale, but palletable. The salsa was very mild, and very watery.
I had the Beef and Bean burrito, smothered with green chile sauce. Ok, before I rip into the green chile part, I should mention that I lived in New Mexico for ten years, so I KNOW what green chile is supposed to taste and feel like in my mouth. I have high expectations. That being said, there was NO heat to the green chile. I felt like all the capsaicin has been cooked out of it. It also wasn't very green, as it had been mixed other ingredients to make it more sauce like.
The burrito itself was alright. It was beef and bean, but what I wasn't expecting was lettuce inside the burrito. Usually lettuce is served to the side, where it can be ignored. The beef tasted like beef. Apparently using any sort of spice is frowned upon, which is sad since it IS a Mexican restaurant.
Oh yes, the guacamole tasted weird.
If I ever find myself back in Alamosa, I'll probably be trying a different...
