Disorganized, dirty, inattentive, and just plain disappointing.
We came in around 7pm with our family (two adults and our hungry four-year-old) hoping for a quick, simple dinner. It wasn’t very busy, though it looked like they had just wrapped up a rush. We weren’t greeted or even acknowledged for about 10 minutes, and once seated, we were shown to a table that was still covered in food. We had to ask someone to come wipe it down.
We were originally handed three menus, but when the host came to seat us, he took two away for some reason, leaving us with just one menu covered in food for the three of us (and no QR code or digital option). It took another few minutes before our server came back. We ordered everything at once—two sandwiches, a kids’ meal, wine for me, and lemonades for my husband and son. We specifically asked for a kid’s cup for the lemonade since our son is four.
My wine came right away—warm, unfortunately—and the lemonades didn’t show up until much later. Meanwhile, no one came by to check on us at all. Not even a wave or a “we’ll be right with you.” We were stuck there, waiting, with a child who was clearly reaching his limit.
By the time the lemonades arrived (also warm and not in a kid’s cup), our son was exhausted and so thirsty he ended up spilling it all over himself. No one noticed or offered help. We asked the server to please bring the food in boxes with the check so we could take it back to our hotel—it’d been almost an hour, and our kid was done.
She came back and told us the food was going to take at least 30 more minutes. At that point, the restaurant was nearly empty, and we could see that other tables who arrived well after us had already been served. She then asked, “Do you guys just want to leave?” and dropped the check for the drinks. That’s it.
I’m all for paying for things I’ve consumed, but to me, charging us for the drinks is a bad look and insult to injury.
We paid $20+ for a glass of warm wine and a spilled lemonade, then left tired, sticky, hungry, and super frustrated. The town shuts down at 8pm, so we had no options to go elsewhere. As someone who’s worked in hospitality for years, I understand when things get backed up. But this wasn’t just a delay—it was a total lack of communication, care, or basic service.
It’s one thing to wait a while. It’s another to feel like your presence is an inconvenience. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you’re interested in actually eating food here. Atmosphere and Bar looked promising, but unfortunately didn’t deliver. Do...
Read moreI really don't like leaving negative reviews. I'm of the opinion that if you can't say something nice, you just shouldn't day anything at all. It has been a few days, though, and I feel like it needs to be said, so here goes.
First of all, I gave two stars instead of one, because the atmosphere is nice, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was friendly.
But - as many others have stated, the food was really bad. The French onion soup was ... sweet? Like really sugary. I love French Onion Soup, but I only had a few bites before pushing it aside.
My burger was burned to a crisp. I ordered it "medium" but even the very center was hard and very overcooked. My husband ordered his steak medium, and it came out a blackened lump. He was hardly able to chew it.
You know what? No big deal, we've had bad meals before, and it didn't kill us, so we didn't say anything.
The kicker came near the end. Our server, a nice kid - friendly - asked if I wanted another drink. I said yes. My husband and I had both ordered soda water with lime - yet the waiter brought me a Margarita. It was in the same glass as my previous drink, and had no salt on the rim, there was a lime on the side. I had a big drink through the straw before - WHAT?
It may not seem like a big deal, but I don't drink - can't drink due to medical issues. What concerned us the most, though, was what would have happened if the drink had been set down in front of my husband, a recovering alcoholic who has not had a sip of alcohol in over four years. Not even cough medicine or mouthwash.
The bartender quickly came over because he knew something was wrong. He took the drink and removed it from our bill.
To people who drink, this may not seem like a big deal, and I even feel weird writing this, but alcohol is a problem for a lot of people for a variety of reasons. Be very, very careful to get your drink orders...
Read moreTerrible service and terrible food. Collin was our "server" today and between acting like we were a total inconvenience to his day and like a deer caught in the headlights, I'm not entirely sure how we even got food. After it took over 15 minutes to get a drink, we were constantly asking him or anyone else we could find for refills, but mostly sat with empty drinks. Eventually the food arrived, my son's corn dog was still frozen in the middle, no spoon to eat applesauce with, my salad didn't come with the chicken I ordered, and the quinoa was terrible, undercooked and bitter (which is sad since it was 90% of the meal). After about 15 minutes of feeding my son French fries because we still had no corn dog or spoon, my husband went to the servers station and got a spoon himself. I picked out the few beans and corn from my salad to feed him since hungry babies are very restless babies. About 20 minutes later and were promised my chicken and his corn dog were being served up that second and our server would be back with them and anything else we wanted. Another 10 minutes later and we're hunting down Collin (again) and he finally says our food isn't even started yet, but he'll take it off the bill for us. So gracious of him to remove food we didn't even get... No manager to speak of, no food to eat, and I left hungry and grumpy. Maybe it was an off day for the entire staff, maybe they really are this terrible. We'll never know because we won't be coming back and even warned several parties on our way out to find somewhere else if they wanted to...
