Don't waste your time or money. Yesterday at around 5pm, I came into this restaurant to eat with my husband, daughter and son in law. We sat at a 4 top right in front of the bar. We ordered 4 beers. There was three people behind the bar working. We also ordered 3 appetizers at that time. We only received 2 of the four beers. We then proceeded to order 4 pizzas. The waitress brought out our order of bread sticks. They were greasy and ice cold. When we told the waitress that the breadsticks were cold she rolled her eyes and took them back. She came back with our jalapeño poppers a few minutes later with no ranch or accompanying sauce. They were also cold in the middle. A few minutes later she brought out the bruschetta we ordered. It looked absolutely horrible. We told her to take it back and cancel our order. She said she would bring our bill. We also asked to see a manager since we had been waiting on our other 2 beers for 21 minutes. As we were waiting the table of 2 next us asked if we were having trouble with our service too. We said yes and they told us that they had been waiting for their check for thirty minutes. We waited a few more minutes and we just decided to leave. We left $20 on the table to cover the two beers that were brought over. As we were getting up to leave, an older lady that had been behind the bar the whole time yelled to us asking "what our problem was". That's super professional, huh? We had intended on spending at least $150-200 last night. And the fact that we are locals mean that had we been treated properly and this incident would have been handled professionally we would have kept coming into your restaurant. My questions are1- why weren't all 4 beers brought at the same time? 2- Is it standard practice for your staff to roll their eyes at customers? 3- All the appetizers were ordered at the same time. Why bring them out one at a time? 4- Why does your staff/manager feel it appropriate to yell across the bar aggressively at customers. Your staff is not doing...
Read moreI don’t like being negative, but this was really bad. Confusingly bad, even.
None of our items showed up at the same time. Here’s what we were treated to when it did arrive.
The Cobb salad was a mess. Think whole baby carrots, quartered unripe tomatoes, whole slices of bacon, and barely cut lettuce.
We got the wrong pizza initially, (ordered porky peach and were given bbq chicken) and couldn’t even tell at first because of how doused it was in bbq sauce.
10 or so minutes later our correct pizza showed up. It was covered in giant chunks of canned peaches that were still cold in the middle, and it was also doused in cheap bbq sauce. The pork was extremely fatty, low quality, unseasoned, and there was a walnut sized chunk of cartilage mixed in. Basil was supposed to be on the pizza, but we got a dusting of parsley instead.
What kills me is they have a really nice pizza oven, and the crust was great! They just piled on a TON of bad ingredients.
My kid’s spaghetti arrived afterward. It looked and tasted like prego sauce with a single meatball on top. Pretty awful. Also cold. The fruit it came with were once again, canned peaches.
Our server was a nice enough guy, but was obviously overwhelmed. I see a lot of positive reviews for this place, and I am hopeful that this was just an off day for everyone. It happens.
But this was probably the worst meal I’ve had out in the...
Read moreSo, I ordered the Spicy Hawaiian. It came out very quickly, about half cooked. I called over a waitress, to ask her to have the kitchen refire it for about as long as they did the first time. When the pizza came out the second time they had basically destroyed it. Looks like they cut out the middle flipped it over had the toppings cook on the stone fire directly and then threw a bunch of garnish and cheese on the middle, so it wouldn't look as messed up as it was. The crust in the middle had been cut multiple times there was charcoal pieces stuck in it everywhere. After eating half of one of the only pieces I could salvage I gave up on the rest when I saw the waitress I had called over peaking over and then saying something to the cooks. Our waitress who waited on us was great. So I wouldn't recommend eating here. The cooks either don't know how to do something as simple as paint by number AND if they dont cook your food somehow it's your fault and they then destroy it or otherwise render it inedible. Like I get it guys, you are disgruntled you work in a pizza/pub/ /restaurant in Alamosa, but don't mess with someone's food. If you have a problem don't be a coward, come out of your little kitchen and say something. I'd be more than happy to explain what you did wrong and how easy it is to slide the pizza back into the oven for a few minutes. Much like I assume...
