I frequently buy from Domino's, usually with excellent service from the support staff. I truly enjoy the drivers and the staff who answers the lines for orders. They are usually so kind. And the pizza itself tastes great!
I did however run into one hiccup that left me with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Not the happiest with how management handles issues.
I tried applying a coupon code to make my selected two items 5.99 a piece rather than 7.99.
The coupon said it was applied and flashed that I saved a total of 3.50. After placing the order I realized that the coupon did not actually reduce the price, only said it did.
So I made a call to Domino's to see what the problem was. As I have mentioned I buy very often from Domino's. Particularly from this location.
At first the young man who answered the line was just as confused as I was, until he spoke to his boss. I was then told the coupon did not work for Alaska.. darn.
I was not offered any apologies for the confusion by management as a form of good customer service, despite the coupon having said it applied. I was not offered alternative for the inconvienence either unfortunately. Bummer considering I made my item choices based on the coupons available.
I tried to cancel a portion of the order. I called in less than 5 minutes after ordering.. they had already started the order. Their staff is swift.
Again, management offered no solution.
Thankfully for the store and my own hope for my fellow man, this Dominos location is supported by a staff of excellent workers. The young man apologized, and when I asked to take an item off to be able to afford the food he stood up and offered to swallow the cost of the difference instead.
I couldn't do that to the staff, but I was very touched by the offer. I truly believe management could learn a lesson about servicing loyal consumers from their support staff, who PERSONALLY took it upon themselves to strive for client satisfaction when management failed.

Read moreWe are in town for a little vacation and got into our hotel around 7:30. At 8pm we try to order online and were unable to due to the "carry out only" option. We call this location and instead of trying to take our order they say to download the app and try again. We don't have a car or we would've bit the bullet and drove down there. Plus the manager at this location confirmed a delivery option. After the app didn't work, we call back and place an order. I give them my address and name 3 times. They say it will be about 30 minutes. We wait. And wait. And an hour and a half later we call and they say that it was delivered but no one answered. So they said they would remake it and at that point I'm just hungry and tired. I tell them not to remake it, just bring the cold one to my hotel and I'll pop it in the microwave. AN HOUR LATER AND STILL NO PIZZA. I call back, this time to see what the eff is going on with my singular pepperoni pizza and one 2 liter Diet Coke. When verifying the address with them, not only was the address horribly wrong, but my name was wrong. You can bet my credit card went through though. At this point I've been trying to order a pizza for almost 3 and a half hours and I'm ready to call it quits and eat something out of a vending machine. I ask for a refund and to cancel my order. I don't know what was going on but they ALMOST DIDNT GIVE ME A REDUND, nor were they willing to offer any kind of "We're sorry here's a freebie" that we can actually use. And I wasn't about to wait another half hour for these folks to grace me with their presence. I call Papa Johns and not only were they also appalled at the disservice done to us, but they gave us a free soda WHEN THEY DIDNT EVEN DO ANYTHING WRONG. GO TO PAPA JOHNS.
