THE ALASKAN
FOR ONE TACO Our #1 seller since day one at the Farmers Market. Juicy pulled-pork, diced white onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, and a wedge of lime. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE TEXAN
FOR ONE TACO A Tex-Mex staple, this is carne guisada. Slow- stewed beef seasoned to perfection topped with cotija cheese. A San Antonio favorite for sure. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE 'MERICAN
FOR ONE TACO Tender slow-cooked shredded beef topped with diced white onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, and a lime wedge. An alternative for those that don't dig on swine. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE HIPPIE
FOR ONE TACO For all you veggie heads out there! Sautéed curly kale with garlic, our famous vegetable ceviche, and roasted poblano cream sauce. Vegan? Ask for no sauce. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE KIDDO
FOR ONE TACO A Tex-Mex traditional bean and cheese taco! The beans are vegetarian. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla. Does your picky kiddo need a quesadilla? We can do that, too. Just ask us. Cheese. Beans. Whatever.

We were visiting from Eagle River, AK, for a couple of nights, and my husband found this place on google. The google pics (which looked super delicious) convinced us to give it a try and, since it was on our way to our hotel,  we figured we might as well; especially since we've tried different mexican restaurants in Eagle River and Anchorage and have been very disappointed (we havent found a place that has made us want to go back). I dont know if the owner (Lane) considers his cooking to be Mexican or just Tex-Mex but, i can honestly say, these taste like AUTHENTIC Mexican tacos. I kinda feel ashamed that he can cook better Mexican food, than myself (im a 1st generation Mexican-American). I am originally from Houston, TX and moved to Eagle River about a year ago so ive been craving Mexican street tacos and these truly hit the spot. I tried the Alaskan, Texan, 'Merican, and Dealio. I enjoyed all of them but, if I had to rate them from favorite to least favorite, it would be 'Merican, Dealio, Alaskan, and Texan. The only reason Texan was last is because I didnt like how all the beef juice destroyed my tortilla. Lane does have salsa, in the restaurant (i ordered take-out and it wasnt included, unless they forgot or you have to ask for it??), that has good flavor but wasnt as spicy as im used to. The place was a little hard to find, unless you know where to look. The best way to find it is to look for a floor sign, on the side of the road, that says "darn good tacos" with an arrow pointing towards Lane's. Parking is limited if the bar downstairs is full. Btw, dont let the amount of cars turn you away. I almost didnt go inside dreading it'd be a long wait for food; especially since I didnt realize Lane's shares parking with "The Marlin" (the bar downstairs from Lane's) As for the owner, he seems very down-to-earth. He takes an interest in knowing his customers and he also shares a little about himself. He was kind enough to meet me on Christmas Eve (even though Lane's tacos was closed) to return my credit card, which I accidentally left there the previous night. The only bad thing I can say about Lane's Quickie Tacos is that its located in Fairbanks (too far for me to enjoy from Eagle River).

Lane's Quickie Tacos is the taco hero we all need. Visitors here from NY and we were at the Museum of the North and needed a lunch that satisfied. Quick search of what is nearby and I knew immediately how badly we needed a quickie...taco. We zoomed on over to the small and adorable hut which had seating outside and in, very limited though, and were welcomed with a fun and expressive energy. We ordered our tacos, took a seat and boom the tacos were ready in about 5 to 10 min. Incredible speed for everything being so delicious and fresh. We couldn't try everything and seeing as we fly back to NY tomorrow I can't tell you if everything is great, but with what we had I'd safely assume it is. They are able to accommodate dairy free which is great too, if you have that type of dietary restriction. And if you read this far that's wild because I don't know how you aren't already convinced. Tell your friends and your enemies that Lane's the best tacos anywhere....in the world!?!?! Enjoy!

It's going down at Lane's Quickie Tacos!! So much flavor in your face hole. Incredible tacos and ambiance. Star wars meets the walking dead meets Texas smoked meats in Fairbanks. Lanes a cool cat and his tacos are amazeballs!! Genuinely down to earth and homey vibe. Every taco is crazy tasty. Excellent bang for your buck in homemade tortillas with smoked meats and freshly grown toppings. All the tacos have fun names like the Merican and the Po Boy. Suggestion: taco name - express lane and maybe a fast lane taco. These tacos are under priced for all the flavor they deliver. The almost award winning soup was insanely tasty. If you're looking for the tastiest tacos in Fairbanks, you have arrived. Come have tacos or punch yourself in the face!

Lane was paying bills quietly when our party walked in. He stopped what he was doing to share with us his story and the story of Lane’s Quickie Tacos while he and a super friendly staff member assembled our massive order. I won’t give it away, but his story goes really well with the Texan and the Spring Chicken tacos. And definitely with the soup on a crisp October day. The food was incredibly fresh. It’s made with care and not just slapped together. They legit make their own tortillas from scratch and roll them out in front of you when you order. In-house made Poblano hot sauce is on point. Couple of craft suds options as well if you’re into a brew and a floppy foldable together.

The place looks like it was decorated by someone with a fun personality who’s into his own style. It totally works.

If you’re in Fairbanks and a taco fan, make the trip. If you’re into quality eats at great prices for the quality of the food and the experience, go twice. It’s what I did and I don’t regret it one bit. I give it a solid 5/5 crisp high fives, absolutely recommend and would return. Get the tee shirt and help spread the love for small...
