We had an early start to the day, so stopped by this place at 7.15 am (they open at 7am) and we were the first customers. Janet (the owner) was getting set up. She told us that it will be a 15 min wait, since she was still getting things organized. We weren't in a rush and there were a lot of knick-knacks around the store to explore. It is a small space with 4-5 tables with newspaper clippings, antiques etc. They have sweet and savory crepes and all look very delicious. We ordered one sweet and one savory crepe for two of us, which was good portion with juice, coffee and tea. Janet cooks right in front of everyone at the crepe station which is fun to watch. She also explained the process. All the vegetables, cheese, eggs that she used for stuffing were the brands that I bought from my grocery stores, so it really felt like home! The crepes tasted fantastic! She also garnished the crepes with edible flowers from her backyard and gave us some watermelon berries to taste. She had a lot of fun stories to share about her place and family. We loved the food and the company! The location might be a bit far from 'downtown' but...

Read moreTerrific place! Excellent food [Best Crepes ever- and we've lived in Germany for 7 years, visited Belgium, France, Switzerland, and more and crepes in all of those places]. Wonderful owner - we talked and talked about families, kids, Belgium (her hubby is from there and taught her how to make traditional crepes decades ago), fishing, Alaska sites to see in the area - a little bit of everything. Probably made possible by both the COVID restrictions, the end of the season in Seward, and visiting in the middle of the week. Plenty of parking, easy to find (Google Maps knows right where they are), and as I said, the best crepes we've had. We each ordered an entrée crepe, shared a dessert crepe, and then stayed for coffee, hot cocoa, and conversation.
It was the perfect meal to go with a great fishing trip./ We've been to Seward many time, but we now wish we had stopped by sooner. We'll be back every time...
