Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Alaska

This Papa Murphy's on Debarr Road on the edge of the parking lot for Carr's Eastgate had been a regular stop for us until a year and half ago. Since the 12 dollar Tuesdays went away and the crust for the pizzas had been changed (and not for the better) we had begun to take a break from this place, then of course the pandemic hit. Having stopped at Carr's last Tuesday, I decided to stop in and give this place another try. And I was starving. There were two employees; a young woman whose name I didn't catch and a young man David who is the one who created our pizza. I inquired about 12 dollar Tuesday and the woman told me that option is available only online now, and the price is $12.99. Rather puzzling. It's almost as if we walk-in people are being discriminated against. David made a glorious pizza. Our favorite has always been the Gourmet Vegetarian (slightly modified to our taste). Lack of two stars is for not offering walk-ins any deals, and the tasteless, soggy crust that alas is still in play here. Not to our liking. I just ate four pieces of flavored bread and paid $40 for two 12” pizzas. Ordered two GF - one with pepperoni and one with sausage and olive. There is no cheese on this pizza and just a little sauce. We just blew hard earned money for flavored bread and are still hungry. I love papa murphys pizza and have never had pizza from them that has few toppings and especially NO CHEESE! Have never seen anything like this. Full huge bare spots and a few droppings of cheese you couldnt even taste. Couldnt even string the cheese together. This has never happened in 30 yrs of eating papa murphys pizza. They literally weigh their ingredients so you get pretty close to the same amount every time. We are still really hungry and want our money back, but not gonna happen. There were two poorly trained kids working behind the counter at 7:30 pm on Saturday 11/4/23. Pizza is made with cheese kids. We cant even finish it. It is so bad. First and last time stopping here. Really disappointing cuz it is on the way...

We called prior to arriving. When we arrived the written order was sitting by the cash register. So we had to wait. We ordered 2 delight pizzas. The plastic wrap squished the dough. The ingredients weren't distributed evenly and we discovered one of the pizzas wasn't a delight. We had been excited about receiving one of them free; due to purchasing 12 pizza's to 'get one free'. What a let down. The pizza's didn't even taste good. We have been purchasing Papa Murphy's pizzas for years. And always at this location. We did take the pizzas back to the store, but it was closed and it was 7:50pm. 10 minutes before the official closing time. The store was clean, but the staff wasn't friendly, nor efficient. We won't go back...but perhaps will try a...
