First I would like to say that me and my husband are a militray family who love the fact that starbucks supports troops. Starbucks has been a long time favortite of mine for many years. My child was severly burned by a careless employee, as part of a " settlement" we recived a stack of complilation vouchers for free drinks of any size, please note these vouvhers have NO EXPIRATION DATE. Therefore we assumed we could use them at OUR leisure without rush. At that time the LAST thing I wanted to do was walk into another Starbucks any time soon. Once moving to Alaska and living in such close proximity the drink vouvhers resurfaced and I decided to use them in the am as part of my morning rountine, I had no issue using them on several occasions at this Eagle River Location the staff smiled, took the vouvhers and wished me a good am. Today I am UPSET, EMBARRASED, and CONFUSED. As I went to pay today in the drivethrough I handed the Barista my voucher, she paused and got the attention of another barista "Allison" . Alllison then looked at the voucher and said " We dont accept these here." . Confused I replied with as of when Yesterday? seeing as I had just used one. She then was very rude and stated " These haven't been in circulation for over a year, I dont know who was working but i WONT BE TAKING THIS". Allison also demanded to know where I had gotten the vouchers from, I feel that the what happened is personal and did not feel like volunteering information about the incident but did. She offered to replace it with some type of "newer" comp card which was worth 4.00 and stated I could pay the remaining .95. By now a scene was caused and the Manager " Scott" asked what the problem was, he was polite. He stated my vouchers where fine and he didnt want to hold up the line. I was so embarrassed I handed the younger Batista a 1.00 and drove off without any change. I was treated as if I was some how " Stealing" . Totally unfair, what if I didnt " Have" money to pay for the drink. All around I felt like it should have been handled...
Read moreI am so beyond disappointed in this Starbucks. Multiple times I have gone there and ordered my drink for it to barely taste like coffee, I get an extra shot and it still tastes like nothing. This time I went and ordered a caramel macchiato and it tasted like dirty water with some cream in it. My boyfriend went back in for a refund because this has happened over and over, they said they’ve been getting complaints about their espresso but they wouldn’t give us a refund! They remade the drink and honestly it tasted worse the second time, absolutely no flavor I’m not exaggerating, it tasted like hot water with milk in it. Not even edible. It was $7 and they wouldn’t do anything to fix it even though they know there is something wrong with their espresso. I had to go spend another $7 to get a drink from a different Starbucks and that first drink was just a complete waste. I get Starbucks all the time and I can’t believe that they wouldn’t do anything when they are the ones selling subpar coffee. I thought that people were supposed to be happy with their drinks…. Another thing that made me mad was the girl at the front was going to give us a refund but then the manager stopped her and said we can’t do refunds.. if it’s impossible then how was the girl going to do it? And if you know your espresso machine isn’t working correctly how can you not make an exception? Obviously a refund is possible, and it’s their fault for selling espresso that is extremely watered down, I NEVER complain, I never send food back, I never ask for a manager or for refunds, I have social anxiety and I had to send my bf in to even ask for a refund but this made me...
Read moreBest Starbucks in the Anchorage area! After a long day of work and feeling absolutely miserable with an awful cough and cold all I wanted was a Venti Medicine Ball Tea (Honey Citrus Mint Tea). I went to a different Starbucks first and they completely messed up the order and when I asked them to fix it all they did was add cinnamon on top and gave it to me. Already not feeling good, I was close to tears driving home. I decided to call the Starbucks on Coronado Rd that was close to my house to see if they could help me. I spoke with Holly and she was absolutely fanatic! She told me to come over and she would fix me the tea I wanted. The gentleman at the drive through window was one of the friendliest Starbucks worker I have met. This Starbucks completely made my day!
Even though this Starbucks is out of my way going to work, they have truly earned a customer for life! Thank you for...
