First time going to the new location on Debarr 2:15pm Aug 6th 2023
Pro's: Food was delicious, no line in front & no one behind me. Place seemed clean, I went through the drive-thru. Got my food fast at the window. Military discount applied.
Con's: We don't go to Wendy's very often (literally maybe once every 2 yrs?) But wanted to go today since it's close to our house. I was on the phone with my husband, he was looking at the menu online and i was looking at the druve-thru menu. That being said, we needed a bit longer to go through and read the items because we are unfamiliar with it. Didn't think it was going to be an issue since I was the only one ordering. Brian at the window/intercom kept asking if we were ready and basically pressuring me to hurry up and order after COUNTLESS times I have told him I needed a few more minutes. He would only wait for MAYBE 15 seconds and ask again. It was to the point where I was fed up and stopped verbally answering him. At that point, he would say "hello, ma'am? Are you ready yet?" And things similar, like I was bothering him. When I was fed up with him constantly asking, I just ordered a #4 Classic meal, asked for Sprite- they didn't have Sprite? So got coca cola instead. Also ordered kids meal 4pc nuggets w/ milk. Husband wanted the bacon & cheese potato- Brian cut me off and said they don't have the cheese? Then he heavily suggested the sour cream & chives potato like he was making the decision for me. I had to strongly say "No. We will get the Chicken Pretzel Chicken Sandwich then." He sounded confused I guess because I didn't want the other potato but instead wanted a Sammy. T-Bell, McD and other fast food drive thru places we have been, they have NEVER been rude like that. I don't understand why he was I such a hurry for me to order. Even so, I still don't feel like it was good customer service.
8/10 food. -3/10 for Brian. We filed a complaint to corporate after reading other reviews....
Read moreSo today I went to this location in the drive thru and my daughter has Special Needs so when she’s hungry she gets upset she’s starving. Instead of getting our fast food. I’m sitting here going back-and-forth with Mavu ( not sure exactly if I spelt her name right ) but a person that is being inconsiderate of our time and very insensitive to my order because she kept getting it wrong and saying the wrong thing and also just making it a point that they can’t give me something, without even asking their manager all I really wanted was something not too major. Someone done it for us before they put the frosty in a large cup.I just had a specific request and instead of honoring it, they took it upon themselves to argue with me and say that we are not able to do so And not trying ! I told her what is the policy , I don’t understand what the policy was. She didn’t go in details about what the policies were. They just felt it upon themselves to say this is something we can’t do, but it was done before and I was willing to pay extra if I had to , it was just very negative. She doesn’t have a really good Way of communicating with people! I hope that you guys improve on that , hire better people that know how to talk to people! And Don’t work at a job you can’t enjoy! She was very short with me , kept asking is that all … I only asked for a number 3 no salt on the fries , pink lemonade with the #3 meal , a large fry with no salt on the fries , large chocolate frosty in a bigger cup ( the Large cup that is used for drinks ) it truly isn’t that hard to understand so I’m highly upset to the point I didn’t want to get the food because I feared she would poison or spit in our meal ! This location looks beautiful but the customer service sucks !!! Get...
Read moreI went to the new restaurant on DeBarr on 05-14-2023 sometime between 2-3 pm. Food was fast and there was only 1 car ahead of me which is impressive for a Wendy's in Anchorage. The food was hot and delicious. So why two stars? Because it was not cooked thoroughly enough and by 11 pm, as I was trying to fall asleep, the growing discomfort in my bowels escalated to full-blown pain. Severe, stabbing, gut-wrenching pain had me on the floor of my bedroom, feebly grasping to the garbage can knowing that if I had to use it, I would need to be renting a steam cleaner the following day....if I lived that long. The sweat dumping down my head and face onto the carpet, if collected and purified, would have been enough water to sustain a family of four on a hike up Bird Ridge.
The unfortunate part was that I had taken my pills to fall asleep, so once I felt well enough to drag myself from the floor to the bed, I did. I fell asleep probably shortly after midnight. I was awakened at 1:30 because I felt something wet. I thought perhaps I'd been sweating in my sleep, but as my brain began to take inventory I realized that only the backside felt moist. That's when I made a horrifying discovery.
I worked for an airline catering company in Anchorage. I get it. You're going to get those employees who fill out the temperature logs and initial them who have no idea what the thermometer even looks like. In the legal profession (or literally ANY profession) we call them liabilities.
The food was still good though and I guess one bad experience out of countless experiences isn't BAD, but it's the one that prompted me to...
