I had the best experience here! I am a small white woman, and I speak a little bit of Spanish. I was immediately greeted with warmth and kindness when I communicated in both Spanish and English. The gentleman behind their meat counter was kind, patient, and ecstatic that I was even attempting to speak in Spanish. Their meat counter is very well stocked, and extremely fresh. They have rarer cuts of meat, including soup bones and oxtails, all at very reasonable prices. Considering the difficulty in finding quality meat markets and butchers around Corvallis and Albany, I was astounded at this little gem of a location. I’ve seen other people post reviews complaining that they weren’t greeted immediately, or that no one paid attention to them, but this certainly was not my experience. Growing up in San Diego, I was accustom to quality Mexican cuisine and carnicarias. When I moved out of state, my main concern was finding Mexican food & meat markets the way I remember it. This market is exactly like the ones in San Diego. The meat is fresh, the carne asada and pollo asada are the best. Food is very good and authentic here and the price is reasonable. The small sauce bar is very good, great flavors in every sauce! I live nearby and walk over about once a week. Tonight I went at 7:22 PM. Hours state open until 9pm. If your going to run a business then stay open the hours you post otherwise post that you stay open (depending on business).
