10/18 6:15 pm at the Albany store, when I walked in to place my order, there was two staff with their phones in the backside of the store discussing a problem with someone the one employee was cursing she was loud she was flaring her hands. She said she was going to take care of the problem she made verbal threats about the person that she was speaking to her language was vulgar. I was not greeted when I walked up to the ordering counter. I sent my keys down loud loudly to see if that would stop the cursing. The worker just continued cursing and yelling. My order came up. Another worker grabbed it sat on the counter and started to walk away. She didn’t say thank you there was no courteous person in your store today.. I am appalled by the behavior of your employees. This is not the first time I have been treated this way in your store and I know that it’s been a continuous problem in your store. I did speak up and tell the employees that their language was unappropriate for the workplace. She seemed unfazed, and as I was walking back out, she began cursing again and continuing her conversation that this time there was a family in the store with a small child. I don’t know if they ordered or they left. I love your cookies, but after a hard day at work, I do not want to walk into a store that is unclean, unfriendly, and horrible language being used by...
Read moreLOW RATING DIRECTED AT UPPER MANAGEMENT; I purchased cookies from this restaurant this morning using the only available interface, their automated tablets, and was denied a receipt because I refused to provide my phone number. I do not consent to data harvesting. There was a button for "paper receipt" option, but when pressed without entry of phone number my order history was clocked out. I tried several times. The State of Oregon requires disbursement of receipt upon request through statue; ORS 83.120 Receipts schedule of payments "Upon written request of the buyer, the holder of a retail installment contract shall give or forward to the buyer a written statement of the dates and amounts of payments and the total amount unpaid under the contract."
This is a small inconvenience over cookies, yes, but the larger picture of extortion for personal data is not an acceptable inconvenience. I'm reporting this behavior to my banking institution, and the correct state authorities. If upper management claims ignorance of this practice, you are still responsible for your point of sale terminals and their programming. Please correct this. Otherwise the experience was...
Read moreThe staff were super friendly and got the cookies around very quickly, but we were not happy with the taste for a cookie nearly $5 a piece. We got a chocolate chip, a frosted sugar cookie, a snickerdoodle, and a Butterfinger and they were all very bland but also overly sweet at the same time.
The chocolate chip didn't really taste like a chocolate chip cookie; the chocolate was really plain and the cookie itself seemed to be lacking any flavor beyond sugar. I couldn't taste any vanilla. The snickerdoodle had almost no flavor; the cinnamon was missing and it was very undercooked and mushy on the inside so we couldn't finish it. The sugar cookie itself was rated "ok" but the frosting had a very sour flavor to it that overrode the flavor of the cookie. I have not tried the Butterfinger yet.
For the price, I would not buy again. I've heard a LOT of great things about the company as a whole (starting in Idaho), so I wouldn't tell anyone not to try them, but we were not silicified and cannot justify spending $5 per cookie after...
