ElRey’s Taco Shop — Restaurant in Albany

I work at 4am at walmart so my lunch is at 8am, as many people know almost no restraunts are open let alone serve lunch at 8am. But I found this taco shop and figured I would give it a try, first impression was wow there affordable and really nice, 2-3 impression was extremely great one of the employees wasn't very fluent in English but he was the nicest gentlemen to work with and threw in extra sauses and apologized several times. But I had absolutely no problem with the language barrier he pulled out his phone and translated what he was trying to explain which to me is extremely professional because instead of getting rude like other restraunts would do he found a way to work around that barrier, great respect for this restraunt will be my new daily place to eat and when my family wants Mexican food we will be here every time. Place is AMAZING and I’m picky when it comes to (faster) Mexican food. It’s hardly ever; that the food and salsa’s get better when you come in.

New to me, is their salsa bar which has an awesome selection, including the spicy carrots etc. My new favorite is a creamy habanero sauce paired with their Super Burrito w/asada! I should add that I’m not a habanero fan at all, but they did it right on this one for sure! Also amazing is their creamy jalapeño/guac!?

If your gonna advertise meals on your windows, make sure they are part of the menu. We ordered the rolled taco MEAL (thats advertise on the window), we also ordered them to be ground beef, and instead we got shredded beef.
