Reeners Smash Burgers — Restaurant in Albany

Friday, 4/12 - I like my burgers medium and the beef patty was cooked perfectly. Cheese, pickles, grilled onions and secret sauce on a brioche bun made it that much better. I could taste the individual ingredients - what a delight! BTW - this was the first smash burger I had ever eaten. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. Next time, I am going with the spicy options. Also, price 👍 and great customer service.

Saturday, 4/13 - I ordered a double this time with spicy sauce and was not disappointed. The same person took my order as on Friday, but someone else prepared the food. Burgers were more well-done this time, but still very juicy. Nice blend of cheese, pickles, grilled onions and spicy sauce. Again, I could taste the individual ingredients. I was offered the sweet potato fries at no cost because they were temporarily out of Oregon fries - THANKS! They were good, too!

I ate my burger in the parking lot. Although my wife says I "look good in anything (you) I eat," I opted for in car dining. That gave me an immediate opportunity to give an in person review of the food and have a brief conversation with the owner. Very nice guy!

Man, really bummed about the switch to smash burgers that they made. I hesitated for a long time trying the new menu, but I finally pulled the trigger. I was definitely let down. I bit into mostly bread with hardly any meat or sauce. when this was N'Reeners, they had the BEST burgers I'd ever had. I suggested them to EVERYONE. Thick and juicy with SO much seasoning. But now even the fries are worse and you're getting 1/4 the burger for the same price. this smashburger thing is not good. the potential is still there but I personally have many other burger places I would rather eat at now. The branding is AMAZING and the new fry holder is GREAT! The employees were very nice! The sauce that was on there was as good as ever. I write this in hopes that someone in charge would see it and consider going back to the old menu! I'd love to continue to support this business, but I miss the bigger juicier...

Terrible. Laughably overpriced. $9 for a lunch meat thin burger?! Ordered 2 doubles and a single. Opened the double first and thought it was a single. Opened the second and it was the same. Did I get charged for doubles and received singles. When I opened the single I was like, “no way.” Didn’t even reach the edge of the huge bun. I will say, the cook on it LOOKED good. A nice char. But couldn’t taste it due to the ratio of bun to burger. Mine didn’t look anything like the other pictures. More like a $3 kid’s burg with a huge bun. I’ll gladly pay this kind of money for a quality burger, but I’ll never return here. First Burger was so much better than this place. Faye’s is 2 blocks away and serves a much better burger.
