Wilhelm's Spirits & Eatery — Restaurant in Albany

I wish I was making this up. I went there for dinner and a drink and started with a glass of water. I overheard the waitress tell the bartender that one of her customers wanted a glass of mixer because the drink they ordered was too strong. The waitress said they were pu$$ies, which did not offend me. The fact that the waitress took a drink of the mixer before serving it to her clients did.

A second waitress came up to the bartender asking for an update on a drink order. The bartender exclaimed, "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm a little slow." The waitress (obviously frustrated) stormed into the kitchen. I then watched her blow her nose and return to serving without washing her hands.

The bartender then asked me if I was ready to order. I thanked her for her time and told her that I was no longer interested.

I strongly urge you to fire the young thin brunette (nose blower) and the older lady (drink tester). The bartender wasn't the brightest or the greatest, but at least she can wash her hands and keep her lips off customers drinks.

The food was good but the service was horrible! The waitress, Jordan, was was very rude and inconsiderate. Three people came in after me but received prompt service. I waited until she swept the floor behind the bar, served other people and had a full blown conversation with a guy at the bar, then I had to approach the bar to ask if I could order something. I was at that time informed of a selective menu even though though website stated a later closing time. I was only asked once if after initially being asked when my food arrived if I needed anything else. When I informed Jordan that the food was good, but I was disappointed with the service, she said “Well we were closed when you came in, but I decided to serve you anyway. Guess I will never do that again.” How rude can you be ? A last customer should receive the same courtesy as your first ! Can’t even put into words what a great time I had at willhems. But I’ll try! The service was amazing. Our hostess, Hailey made my Dad and I feel super welcomed and her timing with checking in on us was perfect. She talked with us and really added to the atmosphere. The decor and vibes were great as well. What I’ve really been waiting to talk about is the food. Oh my god it was amazing. I had the heart attack burger and boy they weren’t kidding. Two half pound Pattie’s, a smother of bacon and cheese rolling down the entire sandwich. It was delicious. The meat was seasoned so well but left just enough of the original beef flavor. The tots that came with it were also seasoned to perfection. Almost like cajon tots. By far one of the best meals I’ve had In awhile. It was reasonably price and the portions were very generous.
