Firehouse Subs Albertville — Restaurant in Albertville

This place is soooo crowded today, Sunday 09-10-23 6:15 PM. Already ordered & sitting waiting what feels like forever...waiting along with 10 other folks btw. Looks like 5 employees are working, so I don't understand the LONG wait times. We could've went to a nearby Mexican restaurant, ordered & had our food by now...for cheaper. As much as our family loves Firehouse Subs, I highly do NOT recommend this location. So far, we've been waiting 45 minutes & still no food, nor apology for the wait, nor drink or dessert offered for a 45 minute wait!! This is ridiculous 😒 When we finally received our food, the Hook & Ladder sandwich, cut in half, only had lettuce & onion on one half of the sandwich!! NO MEAT, CHEESE or Tomato! I did NOT order an onion sandwich folks! Our other sandwich was good & had all the listed ingredients on it. The mac'n cheese was good..& hot...but the chili was COLD! Cold like straight from the refrigerator cold. 🥶 Completely unhealthy food temperature served, which could make your customers sick 😫 The Health Department needs to do an inspection ASAP & the employees working here tonight, between 6:PM & 7:PM, obviously need more training. A few people walked out & one guy had a call-in or an online order & they told him they'd been really busy & it was not ready yet, so he told them to forget it & left without food. Where's the management? 🤔 As a former General Manager of a sub shop, I don't understand HOW it takes soooo long to slap some ingredients on a piece of bread & dip chili into a bowl. I've eaten at this location several times but not again after today. The service was horrible. After ordering I noticed several customers that had ordered after me were already getting their orders. So I went to the counter to ask about it. There was a girl sweeping behind the counter in the food prep area as food was being prepared, when I said something about it the girl put down the broom and went straight to messing with food which is nasty. When I said something about this another girl behind the counter became very rude and hateful. After a couple minutes of this rudeness and disrespectfulness another worker did refund my money, but I was made to feel like I was in the wrong because of the employees bad housekeeping, nastyness...

I drove from boaz to get food there . After being there for 15 minutes seeing another customer complaining for being there for 1 hour . I set there for 1 hour as well waiting for my food only to get up and ask about my food they didn't know where mine was. then they pointed to the counter to a bag that had been setting there for 30 minutes and said that was mine . After getting to my truck and looking at the food it was cold and made wrong. I carried the food back in and gave it back to them after being there for an hour and made wrong and they didnt care about the poor customer service I was very aggervated .and i just left and went to Jack's to get some fresh hot food .
