Pho & Bun Bo Ok — Restaurant in Albertville

Best Vietnamese food in Alabama. Highly recommend. Very clean. Good portions. Will be the only Vietnamese restaurant where we'll be eating.

1/29/2023 Well, we had to go back. Yuong (a partner) was glad to see us and remembered us immediately when we walked in. We'd love their authentic Vietnamese "Phởod" {food ;) } and would love to eat there more often but we live about 40 minutes away. Had the Bun Ga Nuong this time, Excellent! There are a lot of items we'd like to try so we'll have to go back again and again.

OH NO! NEW REVIEW 12/24 Had to change original review: I reviewed this restaurant probably a year ago. At that time it was wonderful, very authentic, fresh, just great (See Above.) I gave it 5 stars. We've gone back a couple of times since then but was disappointed. Recently Yuong wasn't there anymore. Don't know what happened to him, I MISS HIM! Yuong's personality was magnetic, sometimes we wanted to go back just to see him and his wife. The warm welcome was always there right as we walked through the door. We felt like we were home. Unfortunately the food is not as good as it used to be, It's not consistent. I asked a worker where Yuong was and all he said he doesn't work there anymore. I asked if his wife was still there doing the cooking and he said, No. Aha, that's what has happened to the quality. What a shame. My wife and I really really enjoyed eating there. It reminded us of eating in Houston's extremely large Asian district. Now we have to drive up to Huntsville. But still haven't found a Viet restaurant as good as when Yuong and his wife was there. We normally ordered their Bún Ga Nướng (lemongrass pork noodle bowl.) No more!

I have zero clue where all the good reviews for this place came from. First thing's first, the young woman who rang me up was exceptionally rude. I get it, no querían servir la gringa pero sabes qué estoy pagando y aunque no soy Latino Americana también deben tratarme con el mismo respeto de sus compañeros.

Yeah, that's right. Probably in your best interest not to treat your customers poorly-- especially ones who would've gladly engaged you in friendly conversation had your employees not immediately confronted their customers with a scowl on their face.

Deplorable service aside, not one actual Southeast Asian was working here. After living in East Asia a half decade, I can confirm that nothing about this restaurant's food was authentic.

Aside from being inauthentic Vietnamese food, it was disgusting. The meat was all fat and no actual meat content. The sauce tasted like it came out of a generic Walmart brand bottle. The Thai tea was the closest thing to edible.

For $25, go elsewhere and get worthwhile cuisine from employees who don't condescend to...

First time I came was good but second time service was awful !! I called in order waited n drove come to find out they were out I left my number when I ordered they could of atleast called me instead of wasting my time..the server need training and attitude adjustment and the girl wore short that her butt cheeks showing..I won’t be back for wasting my time..I’ll just go to Guntersville the server are friendly and dressed appropriately!
