Caveman Burgers — Restaurant in Albuquerque

It is a little difficult to find as it is within a plaza that sets it back off of Central. Do watch traffic instructions as it is illegal and dangerous to go across Central except at approved u-turns at select lights!

My first visit was better than my second visit. On my second visit, knowing what to expect, I went inside to order. There were no other customers at 12:30 on a Monday. I clearly requested no onions and no cilantro and repeated that I do not want those items and to please not put the foil wrap of these 'sides' in my taco boxes at all. At home, both orders of 4 tacos had the onion and cilantro in their boxes, plus they were not wrapped but open, spilling onions onto the food. Dropping stars from 4 down to 3 stars. No excuse. Only two people working and no other customers.

Food: simple uncomplicated menu of very marinated meats or hotdogs. The burgers are extra large and come with things like pineapple and bacon on them automatically. You can request anything to be left off. Caution to those who dislike onion: it is ground into the beef patty and not just added on top. Plus, they seem incapable of leaving them out of to go containers even when requested...

We came in after attending a concert for our anniversary. Well the only kudos we had was that we showed up at 8:45 pm and they let us order togo only. We had so many choices and my wife was set on this restaurant because it was so long that we came in. That being said the first time we are here amazing food was all fresh and ingredients were on point. This time I don't know if we got all the left overs we ordered the super wakala to share and I felt like I was eating a huge chorizo burger or none meat like idk really low quality. 🤢 It's a shame this place was awesome only a few years ago. We definitely will not be back. Good luck...

I was excited to try out the burger. The burger isn’t bad... the actual patty needs seasoning and it’s razor thin and DONT press it against the grill when cooking. You’re just drying it out. The biggest critique is the fact y’all chop the additional toppings on the burger. It just makes for a super messy burger. Nobody wants their toppings all over the wrapper underneath them.... slice your lettuce and tomato... the steak is well seasoned... I’d use that seasoning on the patty.
