This Einstein's location is very inconsistent. The food is acceptable about half the time. Bagels often have an unacceptably small amount of cream cheese, and I've even been served cream cheese that had obviously been left out too long and gotten crunchy bits mixed in. Edit: The next time I came I got a bagel sandwich that was not toasted and actually wet from the ham. Also, there is a worker who berated another worker for not pronouncing a name correctly. Strong racist vibes. Don't come here unless you're on campus and have no choice.

I received an Einstein Bros Bagels gift card, I tried to use it at this location, but apparently they are not a "participating" location, so they refused to accept the gift card. Upon reading the fine print on the card, the card is not accepted at all sorts of different locations, airports, military bases, and yes college campuses (what do they have against students and the military?). So there you go, read the fine print. And, to the owner, I had never been to this location before, the gift card brought me in. If I had enjoyed a good experience, I would have likely been back many times, but I left empty handed and disappointed, so you lost a customer. I really don't understand the business practices like this, is it really that much more effort to accept a gift card? I guess you don't care, what's one student over four years? Oh wait, $5 per day * 180 school days per year * 4 years? $3600! Actually I should thank you for saving me the money and the empty calories. In response to the owner. if you are going to reply, could you at least have the decency to respond with something besides a precanned response that shows you didn't read my review at all. What more do you need? I have an Einstein Bros Bagels gift card and you refused to honor it. That's it, what more...

The one at nob hill and cutler avenue locations are way better in terms of customer service. The bagel was too cold and not even warmed or toasted. They were out of cucumbers. The guy before me had cucumbers in his sandwich. The veg out sandwich has cucumbers tomato and lettuce. If u take out cucumbers it sounds so bland and no flavour at all. It is a good grab and go place for students but not worth the...
