I called to order my food because they normally take a long time to get your order ready. I was told by the owner/cook or manager my order would be ready in 10 minutes. I went to dutch brothers to get some coffee for my daughter, and they usually have a long line to order from the drive through. And sure enough as usually it did take about 30 minutes. Then I went inside Federico's to pick up my order. I paid $34.13 with my debit card & my order was not ready. I proceeded to wait as other orders were coming out. After approximately 10 minutes I told the cashier I didn't want my order anymore, because I've been waiting too long, which acknowledged she understood but the owner/cook or manager was the only one that could do refunds. She laid the 2 receipts on the counter to wait for the Guy to process my refund. Instead I waited another 5 minutes when he came out from the back and quickly was bagging my order. I told him to just refund my money & he absolutely refused. There is my food to just take it & go. I refused to take the food, he took the 2 receipts & posted them on the bulletin board & said he would do it later. I did not believe him. I have been going through a difficult time financially & I have been taking some hard hits...& this incident just pushed me over the edge. I blocked the drive through waiting for him to refund my money, instead he called the police and eventually they did show up. After a lot of back & forth on negotiating what could be done he finally said he would refund my money. I told the officers I would move my car (I'm sure they had much more urgent matters to attend to). I drove up to the drive up window to get my receipt for my refund of the $34.13. A car was waiting behind me & after another 10 minutes of him giving me a reprint receipt & the 2 original receipts he said he didn't have time to refund NY money after telling me he had already done it & it would take 24 hrs before it would show up on my online banking. Disgusted to the point I was forcing the meat in my mouth to try and eat it and not waist the money I just spent. I ended up throwing the plate away and later threw up the food I did Endor I was with a stomach ache all night. I called to speak with the manager and he was very unprofessional. I explained my situation and right away said “ABSOLUTELY NO MINEY BACK.” The fact is he didn’t even try to over another option. “Okay ma’am I am terribly sorry, I can’t do refunds, but I can offer you another plate in hopes it turns out better.” LITERALLY ANYTHING! He didn’t try to come to an agreement or try to make things better. Told me he was busy, there is nothing he will do about it, and hung up on me. I called back and he rejected all 20 calls. After digging the plate out of the trash and the receipt I heading over there. After arriving, I went inside the restaurant and spoke to him in person. He tried giving me more excuses but I was already furious at this point. I kept repeating myself over and over till he realized I wasn’t leaving till I got my money back. First of all there was a house sound system playing a radio station at a higher than comfortable volume level, then there were two TV sets on the wall running at about the same volume level and there was also fairly loud music coming from the kitchen which wasn't the same as was coming from the house system or the TV sets. I felt like I'd walked into some sort of riot. Then the food was mediocre. at best. I've been "belching" the Machaca for the past two hours (my spouse was even less pleased than me with the food). Adding insult to injury was the fact that the prices were approximately double the prices I found online before visiting the restaurant. The woman working the counter wasn't exactly unfriendly, she was simply indifferent. She was short, making it hard to see her over the equipment around the register. We were in the store for several minutes before even knowing that there was someone behind the counter. She never spoke a word other that to repeat our order for confirmation.
