Flatiron Bites and Brews has officially earned its spot as one of our top five places to eat in Albuquerque, and trust me, that’s no small feat! This restaurant delivered on every level, from the food to the drinks to the entertainment and the service was exceptional!!

Let’s start with the Pineapple Burger with Bacon and Green Chile... an absolute flavor explosion! Juicy, savory, sweet, and spicy, all perfectly balanced! It’s the kind of burger you dream about long after the last bite. Then there were the wings, some of the best in Albuquerque. They were crispy, perfectly sauced, and could be paired with a variety of unique sauces. We had the Chimayo Red Chile Sauce. It was mouthwatering, rich, and packed just the right punch. I’m telling you, this sauce alone is worth the trip!! And if you’re a seafood fan, Flatiron’s Halibut Fish and Chips will blow you away. The golden, crispy batter and tender, flaky fish rival even the likes of Two Fools Tavern and Steel Bender.

The drinks? Phenomenal!! And just when we thought it couldn't get better, the entertainment took the evening to another level!

Flatiron had vibrant energy, and a fabulous ambiance. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. If you haven’t been yet, go check it out... you’ll thank me later!!! 📍 6001 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109

FYI... I have no affiliation with anyone at Flatiron. This is simply an honest rave about an...

We were so hoping that this was going to be an amazing place, but to our dismay not so much. Went in on a Saturday and it wasn’t very busy maybe five tables at the most and three couples at the bar. We ordered our food at 1:13 and did not receive it until 215 after going back-and-forth with who might have been the shift manager by the way never introduced himself never told us who he was. He offered to cancel our order or give us a discount I told him we wanted neither we wanted our food and we would like to enjoy our lunch. He proceeded to tell us that it was really busy and they weren’t expecting it to be this busy due to the balloon fiesta. Honestly, it wasn’t that busy I have seen it a lot busier in there and we have always had good service when it was enchanted circle and run by Shelly. I will say that our server was very sweet and none of this was her fault Food finally came out and my order was completely wrong and the chicken was raw!! I ended up eating, maybe three bites of my food, and just sent the rest of it away. You know we all have choices of where we want to eat where we want to spend our money and we chose to try this place again since they were under new ownership, but I can guarantee we will...

Almost wished I had chosen a burger on this visit. I love fried pickles. It appears that cooked the pickle out of them, super salty and greasy, couldn't find the. The green chile chese fries, for the price I expected a bit more chile and a crispy fry. I did pick through and get as much chile as was easily available but it wasn't much with the soggy fries. The cheese sauce, we'll let's just say it was kind of cheesyish sort of. I made a comment about the pickles being kind of greasy, she said well, 'they were fried'. WTH? As you can see there is a pool of frier grease on the bottom of the paper, yup, really greasy. May not be giving them a fair chance with only 2 appetizers, but, they set the standard in my opinion.

  • please note I did not get the before pictures, these are after I picked my fill and did not get into the greasy part.* Will I try here again? Yes, I will, I heard great things about the food and want to experience that so badly, today was not that day. Please change my mind and let me experience your claims, I am in it for the challenge. But, thank you for a great beer selection and a nice dining atmosphere, this I give...

Don't hesitate to visit this place if you're looking for a great burger. Specifically, the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger is a solid choice. The patty is thick, juicy, and cooked just right! You can really taste the quality in every bite. The fresh, creamy avocado and crispy bacon make a perfect combo, adding smooth and savory flavors to the mix. And if you really want to kick it up a notch, do yourself a favor and add some green chile. New Mexico is famous for its green chile, and it adds just the right amount of heat and local flavor that makes the burger even better. Trust me, it’s a must-try! The home made chips are a no-brainer and deliciously crispy! They're a great companion to the already fantastic burger. The atmosphere seems like it's still a work-in-progress, with walls that barely have any decor. The place doesn't seem to know if it wants to commit to any specific themes. The only thing I can associate with the name is the flat... the atmosphere is definitely flat.

This is a fantastic burger. The bun is brioche... it's buttered, and then toasted to perfection. The burger patty is ground from brisket and chuck, and the flavor is delicious. It's also 1/2 pound. I ordered medium-well, and it was cooked perfect: the patty had a nice char on the edges, and was very juicy. The green chile was hot and had excellent flavor. Lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and pickles are included. American cheese is great for melting, and has good flavor; but it isn't real cheese (it is processed cheese food). So, that is the only knock on this burger. Don't get me wrong: I love American cheese, but using a higher-quality cheese scores better. The side I chose was the fresh, homemade potato chips. They were seasoned correctly, and each chip had a nice crispness to it. I can't recommend this meal enough!
