TL;DR: A very good, very thorough massage (above and beyond the usual). All in all, I think $80 is a great price for what I got, compared to what I am used to getting when I pay the same price in another Chinese massage place. Will be going back monthly!
I went to Chinese Healing Massage at 11:30am on a Thursday. I brought cash with me so that I don't pay extra fees. For the $60 (one hour), the tip apparently is $20 (I didn't know) so expect to pay $80 all in. At first I was skeptical. I saw the other negative reviews about this. But it was close to work, and I really enjoy Chinese style massage and I have been getting Chinese massages for 2 decades now, so I know the techniques and what to expect. So I went anyway.
I got Lili as my masseuse. I put on the timer to see if in fact it was going to be 1 hour (it was exactly, which is nice because in some places they really mean 50mins). Lili did the stretch warm-up massages using her arms, followed by stepping on my back and legs, including pressure points (this is not usually included in standard massage). Then, massage with oil using her elbows, hands and arms, with even, strong and firm pressure throughout. She did the back, then the front (extensive in the front including chest, sides and stomach, which is extra and not standard). Then she massaged my face and chin, which is also extra and not standard. Then she did hot stones and hot towel massage (sometimes included in standard massages, sometimes not).

Read moreIf I could give no stars at all I would. My sister and I went in the other day to get a massage. We called ahead to make our appointment and they asked which location and I said the 6001 location. They said okay. Our time came and we went inside and they told us we had to wait thirty more minutes because we had the wrong time and location. Our time came and we got our massages. We go check out with gift certificates we had received for Christmas...which don’t expire until June...and they said that they couldn’t take our certificates because they had “new owner.” We had no idea what to say, so we clarified with them and they said that we would have to pay. We paid for the service they provided. Then we then asked for a refund for the gift certificates, since no notice was given and the person who bought these certificates essentially wasted their money. They said we would have to talk to owner. We called the number on the card, explained our situation and got hung up on and were not provided with any other form of contact. I should not have to pay for a service that has already been paid for in the form of a certificate. If they got new owners and cannot accept gift certificates, then they should have a sign or posting online that clarifies that. It was ridiculous. Unfortunately because of this experience they will no longer receive business from me...
Read moreHad a gift certificate that my Dad bought me for Mother’s Day. He bought my mom 1 too that she had not used as of yet) No expiration date was put on certificate but it had only been 2 months since my dad purchased & when I arrived at my scheduled appointment I found out that the price for a deep tissue went up $20 (from $40 to $60) so I asked i could use my gift certificate & pay the difference. They looked at the gift certificate & said it was no longer good that there is new ownership. They almost seemed happy to tell me that my gift certificate was not good. So basically they were selling gift certificates, knowing that ownership was going to change & would not honor the certificates. I told them that if they could please look up the number that was put on the gift certificate that I presumed was their way of tracking their gift certificates. They said no, there is new ownership & they will not honor the certificates. This is fraud. I will...
