Well where do I begin, the wait wasn't long but as the table was cleared the table was wiped down but it looked as if the water or rag hadn't been changed out in awhile and the table was left wet with the dirty water so I always carry a travel size Lysol spray can and disinfected the table myself for my family, as I and my family grabbed plates the plates were still wet with dishwasher water so it looked like dishwasher water I hope and some plate stacks weren't even in the plate dispenser, they were stacked on the counter next to them upside down in contact with the counter not knowing how long the counter has been wiped down with proper cleaning chemicals, silverware were still wet and the silverware holders looked as if they haven't been cleaned down at the bottom of them, not just me but some of my family witnessed other customers not using the tongs to grab the food they were touching the food with bear hands and staff were right there seeing all this and not saying a dame thing, I witnessed a customer grad food from the cart that the employer was pushing to refill other trays on the serving line and not only did the employer see the customer do it she gave the same tray of food in the serving line try to refill it and that's not all I understand that some kids are hyper but come on it was like a preschool in there it was loud and I don't know how many times I came close to spilling hot food on a child cause there running around like if it was a park and staff nor parents not saying a dame thing to them. Floors are sticky like if I was walking around one of those run down dirty bars that have those nasty floors with god knows what, partial walls that separate dining areas on top are sticky and dirty food all over the floors in setting areas, front doors glass looks as if windows haven't been cleaned for awhile and no offense to the homeless but 3 of them were sitting right outside of front doors and opening doors for customers hoping to get money from customers by opening the doors for them but I'm a man with honor and dose not pass judgment on anyone but when it's right in front of you and when I and my family are witnessing all this within a public restaurant, (Health Violations of Red Flags) are all over the place and I'm certain there is greater violations in the back of the restaurant where the food is being prepared, O and the tables in sitting areas are way to dame close together and may I mention that chairs by the tables are not wiped down also a floor vacuum was between two tables plugged in to charge right were people eat I could keep going on and on about this place of how many violations I have seen. So with all that I'll be reporting all this to City health inspector and to make sure this place is Red Flag and either shut down or proper training is done for all staff including owner and managers and for the word to describe this place ( NASTY) I'm sure there have been customers that have been sick because of all this I'm just glad none of my family got sick from eating here, So to the owner and managers of Royal Buffet you all need to get your shit together as of now this place doesn't even get a half star just red X's ❌❌❌❌ Again Albuquerque City Health inspection office as well public food services of Albuquerque...
Read moreThe atmosphere is filthy. The service is not good at all. When we arrived we immediately noticed thst they had race separations. They had all the white people closest to the food, and the Mexicans/hispanics all the way to the back where it smelt like sewer. They sat us with the Mexicans because were Hispanic and even the server was Mexican. We noticed thst the server was treating her race (Mexicans) a lot better than us asking them if they needed refills more napkins and etc. because they spoke her language and kind of just left us on the back burner. we had to ask for refills on our drinks and she never checked on us the entire time. I just find that it’s so disrespectful to sit all of the Mexican and Hispanic people in the dirtiest part of the restaurant while everyone else gets to sit in the clean areas and closer to the food. The corner that we were in was by the ice cream which smelt like sewer so bad and the booths were full of crumbs and food all over the table. The silverware they gave us, we had to ask for new ones several times because they all still had scum on them. I’ve always known that restaurants do this, but to literally physically see the race separation was just unsettling and we will not be going back here. Food isn’t good either. Please save your time and energy and...
Read moreBeen wanting to try this place. Was hesitant because I read some of the other reviews on here and a vast majority of them the same thing: place was clean, staff was friendly (both of which are true), but the food left something to be desired. As a huge fan of Asian cuisine and buffets, that was the sad part. After all the food is the part that really matters right? Also, there'd been a hole in my chunky heart ever since the Buffet King shut down. So we finally braved it, and verdict is: not bad. Wasn't the best, but also wasn't as terrible as some of the other reviews made it out to be, and it certainly wasn't the worst Chinese buffet I've been to. I have my key things that I like that ultimately decide if I like the place or not, and the majority of my favorites were of decent quality. Staff was very friendly and attentive, refilled our drinks and checked on us multiple times. Docked a couple of points because my first plate was still dirty and sticky on the bottom. Atmosphere was nice enough, but the main problem is that anybody who had been here before when it was Furrs is going to feel exactly what it is: Like you're eating at Furrs only they serve Chinese food now. Doesn't feel "new". But in the end, can't say I won't go back. At the very least, its worth...
