Getting this review to appear: Take 5...

(occurred on 2/16th or 2/18th) Since I don't know this person's pronouns, I'm using they/them. I was told the Blueberry Granola Pancakes came with whipped cream, but mine arrived without any. I asked for a specific muffin and received the other (only to notice at home). But the real icing was that the initial charge was for ~$77 even though my purchase only included those two and a cookie. When I pointed it out during the tipping step, the cashier seemed surprised and explained that they must've mistakenly entered my table # instead of the food cost. I'm honestly not sure if it was just a sleep deprived day for this person or intentional (racist) mistakes. Didn't notice anything negative with their vibe and iirc it was my first time interacting with them. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Mightest well point out that on both 7/29th and 7/30th of 2023, I walked in dressed in feminine clothes for the first time and felt supported by two staff members. I also felt intentionally disrespected by another who, when bringing my food outside, put emphasis on the last word in "Here you go, sir." This person also had some degree of a negative vibe while I spoke with the cashier inside and gave me the impression that they were peripherally side-eyeing me the whole time. I was visibly either a crossdresser or t-word, so there's no way the "sir" wasn't t-wordphobia. The bad news is that a different person used the same line in the same way on 7/29th. The good news is that I never saw either person there again after that. 🥳 For any other t-word or GNC people curious: Plenty of guests stared, one or two gave a compliment, and two men got a little weird when I passed them. 🤷🏿‍♀️ For other dark-skinned/Black people curious: I don't recall any other problems there. 🤔

I've been here plenty over the past six months and don't recall any other experiences of bad service, but the fact that 1) it took so many attempts just to get this review to appear and 2) I haven't seen the two supportive staff members there in the longest makes me not wanna bother...

Apparently it's totally acceptable to have customers loiter for God knows how long and blow smoke in your face outside even though there are no smoking signs.

After some jerk was outside smoking, literally right in front of a "please do not smoke" sign wind wafting it right into my face (I am allergic). Went inside instead of dealing with him and he says "you could have asked nicely" um ... Why? There's a sign and it's more rude to blow smoke in people's faces than his actions. But maybe that's just my opinion.

We go inside and realize that he's sitting in there loitering (obviously long finished with his food) at his computer. We ask the workers to box our meal because theres a guy smoking outside sitting inside and we don't want to deal with him (we were still waiting for it). The worker says okay but makes no effort to talk to the guy. Now he's inside is staring at me so I say "what?" and he starts arguing with me. But because I have a louder voice I'm apparently the "bad guy" (I don't really care about optics). NOW the worker says she's "happy to talk to him but I need to calm down." Now ... AFTER it's escalated ... AFTER I've asked for their over priced (but admittedly good tasting) food to be boxed up. NOW she's "happy to talk to him." Naw, fam. I'm good. I live two blocks from this place and used to come semi regularly. But now I won't ever be back not because of the customer blowing smoke in my face, but because of the way that the workers dealt with it (or more accurately did NOT deal with it.

To be clear, when I tell the worker someone is right outside smoking, you should probably deal with the person then instead of AFTER it's escalated because the guy wants to stare me down antagonizing me to argue instead of sitting at his little computer working on his screenplay. I can't be the only person who doesn't want to have their meal with a huge dose of cigarette smoke right in their face from an inconsiderate jerk although we WERE the only ones outside at the time and maybe it didn't bother my boyfriend as much because...

I'm so upset with this place. The quality of food. It's so greasy it's disgusting. The customer service lacks personality. And I don't care if it was part of breaking bad. Please fix your cafe. I've been a customer here for years. Every single lunch I have bought. In the last week. Goes in the trash. How can you burn tofu with veggies. Swimming in oil. The soup today was so bad. It was old. I asked customer service to fix it today. It's the same thing rude. This place has gone down hill. You wait a hour. To fix your order. The soup came out again. It was over cooked. Please find better Cooks. How can you mess up soup. A can of Campbell's soup would have been better. I'm done with you guys I wish you the best of luck. Also your place is not handicapped accessible. I need a walker to get in. You need to accommodate handicapped people more better. Take out two extra tables out of your lobby. Make room for walkers and wheelchairs. Have your customer service open the front door. Accommodate us. Your front door is horrible. Please fix. Have a little bit more compassion. Please swallow your pride because your business is not that great anymore you really...
