Don't bother coming here. I truly do not understand how it has so many positive reviews. Maybe people don't have taste buds anymore. As someone born and raised in Albuquerque, I was expecting much much better than this place can provide. This is hands down the worst Mexican food I've ever bought, which is really sad because it could be so much better with just a few slight changes.

Genuinely disappointed in this place. My burrito was supposed to have cilantro, bell peppers, jalapenos, onions and tomatoes along with the beef, beans, and cheese but it literally only had beef beans and cheese. I think it would have been a great burrito if it was prepared correctly. But it doesn't end there. The beans on the side were bland. The rice had quite a unique taste to it, nothing like any other mexican/spanish rice I've ever had. Extremely salty/garlicky which is weird considering how bland the beans were. They give you a tiny tiny tiny cup of salsa to go with the chips, hardly enough for 3-4 of the chips they give you, I just mixed it in with the beans to give them some more flavor, but it was still bland. I got both red and green chili and both were very bland. No spice/heat to it at all. For what this place costs, it's much better to go somewhere else. Heck, even Taco Cabana would be more flavorful for a fraction of the price. I certainly will not be going back, ever. If I'm gonna pay a premium price, I'll go somewhere like El Modelo where you get premium quality...

PAPA NACHO’S is on Louisiana Boulevard, just one block south of Paseo del Norte, and 2 blocks east of U.S. 25. Although it’s hidden in a little local neighborhood strip mall, the food is FANTASTIC, and Prices and Service are Excellent! It’s a local 20-year family-owned and operated restaurant, and we’ve been there many times – always enjoying outstanding dinners – but today we came for lunch. My wife ordered the Tostada Mucho Grande, and I ordered the Soft Corn Tortilla Taco with Machaca (shredded beef). Everything was served promptly, warm and absolutely delicious! Our tortillas were overflowing with meat, tomatoes, lettuce, and chili sauce – perfectly cooked and mouth-watering. The beans were especially tasty, creamy and chunky. We’ve NEVER had a less-than-Wonderful meal here! Our super waitress Gloria was very attentive, and immediately responsive to our requests. By the way, their amazing fajitas are cooked in a special secret house sauce – You gotta try it! All their food is absolutely delicious, authentic, quickly served, and very reasonably priced. What more can I say? Highly...

We've been dying to try this place. But we are rarely in this area. We were passing by it today, and couldn't resist giving it a try. And man, was it awesome! Everything we tried was top notch. I'm a snob when it comes to beans and rice. Most places, they honestly suck. Here, the beans and rice were phenomenal. The beans reminded me of my mom's. They were that good. The rice also rocked. The Carne Asada tacos were packed with meat, with just the perfect amount of onions, and cilantro. The enchiladas were perfect. One thing I loved about this place is how balanced the dishes were. We also tried the chicken burrito, and the shredded beef burrito. That chicken burrito is now my new favorite burrito!! It was that good. And that red chile was definitely fire! The shredded beef burrito smothered in the green chile was no slouch. It also killed! Top all of that with the amazing customer service, and you have the perfect experience. We will definitely be...

We randomly walked into one of the best places to eat in New Mexico! The food was so authentic the chimi hit home for me as it was my favorite thing to eat on weekends as a kid, it tasted the same way but even better with the refried smashed beans! I got the machaca and let me you this was the best thing I could’ve ever done today. The red Chile is so flavorful and as a true Nm resident living here 80% of my life this one of the best places for red Chile. The bean and cheese burrito was also a hit! Beans and rice always a great combo. And saving the bets for last, the staff: Maggy our server so sweet, caring as the other lady we didn’t get her name. I saw the nachos ordered & they were huge!!!! Might get them next time but I’m still thinking about that #18 chimi.

Great spot to get some quick and delicious Mexican food. I got the "H" combination which is a Chile relleno and taco with rice and beans. The taco has a generous portion of meat and toppings. The fried tortilla it came in was very crispy but held together well. The Chile is perfectly fried without being greasy. The cheese inside was also perfectly melted. The Mexican rice was exactly what I was craving, while the beans were just the right texture (not too slimy or firm). I'll definitely come here again!
