Which Wich — Restaurant in Albuquerque

My experience here at this location was horrible. So my husband and son ordered sandwiches, 2 each with shakes. Started off by my husbands and instead of telling us they were out of hot peppers prior to making the sandwich they completed the sandwich and said “oh we were out of hot peppers, sorry”. Now I’ve been in fast food/ restaurant business over 15 years, you notify the customer of anything that’s not available before completing the order. Than the shakes. My husband ordered a large chocolate and strawberry and my son got a med chocolate. She comes over with a large oreo and strawberry saying I’m sorry I accidentally made it wrong, but she still offered it so my son took it, he didn’t mind. We were under the impression it’s her error so instead of trashing it she gave it away, but we still wanted what we originally asked and paid for. We spent like $58. She comes back with the med shake and told her we still needed the original large chocolate and strawberry then she gets snappy like because we took her “error shake” we shouldnt want what we actually came for.. SMH….. none the less…. Horrible service , horrible hospitality, just horrible…. Won’t be coming to this location on Louisiana anymore!!!!! Been awhile since I had been in a Which Wich. (back visiting Dallas) Wife & I decided to give this one a try. Service was outstanding! Melanie was able to help us through the process of how to order. I thought I remembered how, but left some things out. She quickly assisted us to get the order perfect. Wife didn't want chips, but she recommended fries, WHO CAN TURN DOWN FRIES! I never even knew that was an option. Kaleb stepped up to finish our order, while Melanie began helping others. What a great team of employees. Kaleb got our sandwiches out first, fries came out next. Hot & delicious . These two employees customer service skills will keep me coming back. Now next important thing was food. Our sandwiches were great, fresh taste, perfect to what we wanted. As I said fries were great. I love the perfectly crushed ice from the machine. Lots of choices to drink soooooo ice tea it is. The building was clean, easy choice in seating, nice view of Sandias, plenty of room for a group. Some people added their own art to the walls. It's kind of a fun touch or connection with the place. The ordering process is annoying and unnecessary. They make you take a marker that everyone touches and check boxes on a bag to make your order. My wife and I came in for lunch and the restaurant was empty. We should have just turned around then. We see the markers and bags. There are two bags one to create your own and one for the sandwiches featured on the menu. The only bags that were stocked were for build your own. I approached the register to order and I'm told to go back and fill out a bag. I tell the employee they're out of the correct bags. He says to just write my order on a bag in a blank spot. We left. Just take the order. Why add the step of handling dirty markers before you eat a handheld food item. Why have me write my order over top of text on the wrong bag. The most successful sandwich shops all have something in common: you just order what you want at the counter. How will they ever have a drive through with this system?
