Well I went to Red Lobster on Montgomery last night to treat myself and I always get the same crab dip and Lobster Dip and they brought me a crab dip without crab so I told the server that it didn't have crab in the manager came over and tried to convince me that there was crab in it when I get this item every single time I go which is twice a week so I know what crab taste like and I know what the crab dip looks like and that wasn't it but he stayed standing there like I was tripping or something then he took it back and went to the kitchen and brought me back the same exact thing besides this time it just had more cheese in it and it was so thick that I couldn't even get my chip in it it kept breaking the chip and it was right in front of him so he saw everything I even tried staring it up with a spoon and still it would not stir because it was so thick I told him I didn't want it and that I wanted to just replace it with a Lobster Dip instead and then I will just take it home with me so he brings me the Lobster Dip and it literally had one scoop of it in there it wasn't even halfway filled up play think I'm going to try to charge me $13 for a quarter of what amount of dip was supposed to be in there so I told him I didn't want that and to take it back and do it over then he comes back and brings it in a container without a bowl I said what is going on here I don't understand how this is so difficult the manager comes up to me and asks me what the problem was and I told him what the problem was and I told him that he should know and that this doesn't make any sense so he took it back and then the server comes up to me and I asked him what's going on with the manager and he said I don't know let me go talk to him so the service said that he took it off of the bill and then when he gave me the bill I still saw that it was on there and I asked him why is that not off because I didn't eat it and I haven't taken it with me and he said okay hold on so I was at the restaurant for almost two whole hours dealing with stupidity and it didn't make sense to me so when the manager came back I basically let him know that he was not a good manager that my visit was terrible and I will not...
Read moreWe ordered the Ultimate ($44) and the Bay Harbor ($37). The waiter informed us they were out of the Bay Harbor dish, so we decided to split the Ultimate.
We also ordered the mushroom appetizer and two salads with ranch dressing. Shortly after ordering, we were told the restaurant had run out of ranch dressing, so we settled for blue cheese instead.
The salads were acceptable, but this was already our second compromise. When the Ultimate arrived, we began enjoying the crab legs but soon found ourselves needing extra napkins. The waiter brought us a small stack of cocktail napkins, entirely inadequate for the meal. When we requested regular napkins or paper towels like those originally provided with the silverware, we were informed the restaurant was out of these as well. By this point, we felt as though we were participants in a hidden-camera prank show.
The meal itself was a significant disappointment. The shrimp scampi was badly overcooked, resulting in a rubbery texture. The lobster and baked potato, conversely, were noticeably undercooked. Additionally, the fried shrimp appeared to be a low-quality substitute and was very unsatisfactory.
Overall, we had to continually make concessions while still paying full price. There were no attempts made by staff or management to compensate for these shortcomings—no complimentary dessert, no offer to discount the bill, nothing. The attitude seemed to be, "take what's left, pay up, and leave."
Our overall dining experience was extremely poor. Given the repeated failures in basic restaurant standards, this establishment should seriously reconsider its operations or consider closing...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous experience! We made a reservation for Valentines Day, which also happens to be our anniversary. When we arrived, we were told there would be a wait for our table and we were okay with that given how busy Valentines Day is. We waited 30 minutes and were finally seated. This is where things went terribly wrong. Our server was friendly enough, all servers were required to work doubles so was a little frazzled. We ordered but had no idea the wait we were in for. After about 15 minutes from when we ordered, we heard the waiter tell another table the wait time for food was an hour. We were never informed of how long the wait time was. At that point, someone came out with a tray of food but it was the table who was previously sitting at our table and had to leave after waiting over an hour …. After waiting over 90 minutes, we asked the waiter to pay for what we owed and he said our food should be coming out soon so we waited. Our reservation was 7 pm and we were served food at 9:30. We ended up eating the crab legs and three biscuits for our dinner. We brought home the majority of our food because we don’t normally eat that late at night. The waiter was basically absent from our area for over an hour while we waited. We heard multiple mentions of people walking out. We were offered a free dessert which we took…to go. While I understand this is a busy night, it was ultimately mismanaged. If you can’t handle the volume, don’t take the reservations. We basically reserved a table to wait 2 hours for a...
