I ordered a chair last November, understanding that it wouldn't arrive until June. I sat in every chair and decided on the exact chair I wanted. Then I picked the color I wanted. As you can see from the photo, that hand is my salesperson's hand acknowledging that this is the color I wanted. This didn't go as easily as I expected. The chair didn't come until July but still, I was happy to have it delivered. Upon arrival, I told the guys who delivered it that that is not the color I ordered. They showed me the numbers and I agreed those were the the same numbers but still that was not the color of the chair I expected. I went to meet Pete Kennedy (manager) at the store to discuss. There seems to be a consensus at Lazy Boy about the lighting being different, but I did not think that was the issue. Let me be clear, if the sales person would have shown me the color, of the chair that arrived, he did not, I would've said NO. I was clear that I wanted RED. So, now I have this chair that is not the color I wanted but the chair is great. I hope Lazy Boy will live up to their reputation and make this right. Today is Thursday the 21st of July and I met with Pete at the store on Saturday the 16th. Of course there was nothing he could do until Monday, but I haven't heard from him. I called this morning and he was busy with another customer. I very much appreciate feedback since these colors can not be confused in any light. The last thing Pete said was I'd like to see them side by side (as if that would change anything). Who thinks Lazy Boy will make this good and who thinks I'm stuck? 7/26/22 UPDATE: I was notified that Daniel would be coming by this morning between 9-11AM to bring me a new swatch so I could okay the color. He showed up and didn't know why he was here. I said, "do you know why you're here?" He said, No. Needless to say he did not have the swatch. Which really surprised me. Since I did have an email telling me would have it. He took some photos and took photos of my photos and left. Stay tuned because there will be more. Update: 07/28/22 Well, this has been interesting. Yesterday someone came by for an appointment that was not scheduled. I was not here. This morning, Thomas came by at 8:45 for a scheduled 9AM appointment. Luckily, I was just coming back from walking my dog to meet him at the scheduled 9:00AM appointment and caught him. He came in and took more photos of the chair I have that is not the color I wanted. He came with a swatch of the exact color that the chair is that is the exact color I did not want. It's weird. I expected him to bring the color I do want for me to okay it. Jesus, the warehouse manager, and I spoke and I explained again that yes that swatch IS the color of the chair, but that is not the color leather I wanted. In the meantime, I found a whole section on Facebook of dissatisfied Lazy Boy customers. That did not make me feel hopeful. I don't know what happens next but I'm thinking it's a big pow wow among the San Mateo store and corporate. I don't know what they'd need to talk about, a picture is worth 1000 words after all. Stay tuned...

Edit 2: delivery went great, but within the first hour of using the $3000 loveseat, a bolt has broken off the reclining mechanism. Looks like a nut was supposed to be welded to the frame for this bolt to screw into, but it's missing. Now to start the lengthy process of getting this fixed. And I'm without a couch until it does. I'm beyond angry. Edit: after speaking with management I was able to get a Saturday delivery so I wouldn't need to miss work. The manager was very polite and resolved the issue very quickly. I have changed this review to 3 stars because of the need to contact a manager to get this resolved. Sales person either completely lied about delivery options in order to make a sale or the distribution center personnel are misinformed. I specifically asked about delivery options to Los Alamos, and was told that they would completely work around my schedule and could deliver any time that worked for me. After waiting three months for my furniture, it finally arrived in the warehouse. They told me they had to deliver within 30 days of it arriving at the warehouse, but they have no availability until two weeks from now and they only deliver to my area on Wednesdays. How exactly is that working around my schedule when I have exactly two workdays to choose between before my furniture is sent back? Be wary of anything you are told at this store.

This was our 3rd Lazy Boy purchase. The first 2 were seamless from start to finish. Not sure how the 3rd will turn out. Some mistakes in the initial paperwork and we had to make an additional trip in to sign something that was left out. The chairs arrived with some minor flaws and the delivery guys said they would submit a tech request to get them fixed. Never heard from them. When I called the person who answered said a request was never submitted. She couldn't see anything wrong in the photos the delivery crew submitted. I had to send more or they wouldn't schedule a tech visit. She was borderline rude. Sent the pictures and got a response that they would get back to me. Nothing yet. I expected better service from Lazy Boy. Won't shop there again.

Beware of skeezy salesmen here! This was a horrible experience and I will be name dropping in this review because the Sales associate basically called myself and my boyfriends family liars.

We purchased a house back in January but our lease at our apartment didn't end until May 29. We purchased all of our living room furniture during the Presidents day sale at La-Z-Boy so that was sometime in February. We were told everything was in stock except for the couches because those were a special order. We told David Judah to put the rest of the items in the back and when the couches came in we would just have everything delivered at once. About 2 months go by and we call to see if the couches came in and David said, yes and the lamps and the two end tables came in as well. ????? If everything but the couches were in stock then why wasn't everything there?! He then proceeds to tell us that supposedly he had informed us everything was in stock but everything was on the floor and we had said we wanted everything brand new. That is not how any of us remember the conversation except for David. So then we have them deliver the Sofa, Love Seat, and 3 lamps. Well, they brought 2 love seats and no sofa. They had to take that back and bring the love seat later that day. About 2 weeks later we had called again to see what the status was on the 2 end tables, sofa table and coffee table. David said the end tables were in, the Sofa table had SHIPPED and that the coffee table was on back order. We ended up settling for a different coffee table because he had said it could take between 8-10 weeks for that to come, but who knows with this guy, it could've taken 4 months! I then call him back about a week later asking what the status was on the sofa table and he said it hadn't shipped yet. He was giving us the run around on everything we bought. I spoke to a manager and she said it had shipped that day. We still have yet to receive the sofa table and let me just say, this has been beyond the worst experience at any furniture store. We may still purchase couches, but if we need any other furniture we will not be giving...
