Not worth it. I’ll start with the service. The young lady at the counter was less than enthused. Not a big deal considering people who actually show up and work I tired. I understand. My rating is due to the food and prices. It was a basic sandwich. Chips that came in a sandwich bag and that was $15. When I say basic sandwich, I mean you could’ve made it in your kitchen and it wasn’t the gourmet experience I was expecting according to most of the reviews. The bacon was burnt, the turkey was dry. When I called, the person who eventually answered was rude. I was just going to ask if they’d please remake it. That was that. Go and see for yourself. But, personally, I will not be returning.
*Update 2.0 As you can see, the owner keeps editing his response to my review. He’s also asked “to be left alone” when he chose to respond in a snarky manner in the first place. He’s also reported my honest review in an attempt to have it deleted. That further goes to show the character in which this establishment is backed by.
*Update. 1.0 (See update 2.0 above. Since he keeps editing his response. So shall I.) As you can see whomever responded confirms the attitudes of the employees. While I gave them the benefit of the doubt, this “response” shows that poor attitudes are supported. While my review is the minority “guy”, 205 reviews total (at the time of this)isn’t that impressive considering the Albuquerque Metro (which includes Rio Rancho) is over a million people. Bravo on the mostly good reviews...
Read moreThis is the first restaurant that we finally got to go out and dine-in since our state opened up on June 1st. It was such a cute place we love the atmosphere. We were the only ones dining in though. They were very busy with takeout orders. The staff was very friendly. We love to support businesses in our hometown and this is a family-owned business. They learned their recipes from their grandma. These sandwiches are so unique and so different, but oh, so delicious. The bread was toasted perfectly. My son got the dirty bird sandwich and I got the prime brisket sandwich. He got chips and I got cream of potato soup. We each shared a half of the sandwich so we could try both of them. The turkey on his dirty bird was delicious turkey and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The brisket on my sandwich was a melt-in-your-mouth brisket. All of the sauces on both sandwiches and how they built the sandwiches were made to perfection. The Wisconsin cheese was just as flavorful as it could be and melted perfectly on both sandwiches. The cream of potato soup was good. This sandwich shop is a must-try for all of Rio Rancho residents, visitors, and Albuquerque. We were very pleased and we will definitely go back. Next time, I have to try the...
Read moreThis place has potential but on my visit the owners appeared to be trying to run the shop almost alone. One owner was handling seating, serving, bussing, and checkout, among other things. This meant long wait times, dirty tables, and no table checking for refills or other things unless you can flag him down between other duties. Menu is still rather limited and sangwiches were okay but a little overpriced compared to other local options. Same goes for the potato soup. Seemed rather expensive for what was more loke a sampler cup. Looks like the owners are still renovating as well. One large AC duct was missing a cover directly over a table and seemed a little dusty up above. I wish the place well because we need more local options, but I will personally give it a little more time for them to settle in before giving it...
