OK, first off I would like to say that we were only expecting to stay here about a month tops, because after selling our house of 25 years we expected to find an apartment very quickly. However, that is not what happened. We discovered that we were forced to live here over two years (way too long of a story to explain here). Anyway, I am not going to say that this place is amazing, because it is not. However, after two years I can say it is mostly good. Management always tried to accommodate us when needed. The first manager we dealt with, James, moved us from the 3rd floor small unit to a 2nd floor larger unit when he discovered that my GF had a bad knee and COPD and couldn't handle the three flights of stairs. We lived on floor 3 for a month before he moved us to the larger 2nd floor unit. The second manager we dealt with, Ali, didn't seem to have reservations about moving us to the ground floor when the elevators broke and her knee was far worse. We lived on the ground floor for over a year, we never really had issues with bugs, but we did have issues with a leaking ceiling in the bathroom. So I would like to thank Louise (maintenance) for dropping what he was doing to come fix our leaks. For two years Louise was always there to help fix something or replace something. Thank you Louise. And the last manager we dealt with, Leslie, got up in the middle of the night and drove all the way from the west side just to work on our broken door lock so we could get into our room after a long tiring drive. Sure this place isn't going to win any awards, but it was a life saver after discovering that we couldn't get an apartment right away. It took us over two years to find a place that didn't require a credit check (again, long story and involved cancer and a death in the family that took everything from us). We lived here from Oct 2021 to January 2024 and had a mostly good experience. So, overall I would recommend this place. Thanks again to Leslie and Louise for helping us out in a time of need. These people are what made the stay great for us....
Read moreMade a quick trip to ABQ due to picking my sister at the airport. Her flight came in late and was delayed so, we had no choice but to stay the night. I choose this place becuase of price, accessibility to the interstate, and the OUTSIDE of the building looked decent enough to take a chance.||But boy was I wrong! The inside was a house of horrors! 1st the toilet won't flush. It was overflowing all over the floor. In the bathroom. Sewer water was splashing all over the floor! We tried numerous times to contact the front desk about the toilet, but the phone kept ringing. Nobody picked up, so we walked to the front desk and it was locked. A sign up front said there is no front desk person available after 7pm. I was like, well "who the hell do I get to fix the toilet?! Change rooms or more importantly get my money back and go somewhere else. There waa a phone number posted on the window, but of course nobody picked up.||2nd: The linen in the room looked it hadn't been washed in months. It was stained and yellowed, from what looked like years of hard abuse. My sister was to afraid to sleep on the bed, because the linen was so nasty. So we put our coats on top of the bed just to sleep on it. ||3rd : the housekeepers are non existent. I mean the room was so scary dirty, you could actually see the mildew grow before your eyes! So we had to stay in a filthy room with NO working toilet. And NO customer service. The manager and its employees are way below standards. The manager saw my post about the room and said he'd give a refund or some sort discount for the inconvenience. But so far we haven't received nothing from this horrible place. ||I wouldn't even give this place 1 star or 1 bubble rating, becuase that option isnt available. If your thinking of staying here, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!! Pay the extra couple of bucks and save yourself the headache & trip to the ER. Go somewhere else!! ||This is the 1st & certainly my last time EVER...
Read moreAlthough I made reservations approx. 9 months ago thru Expedia, and called the hotel phone number 5 days before my stay to confirm everything was OK (which it was, I was told she had my confirmation, dates were correct, and I confirmed check in time), and that if I needed to change or cancel my reservation I needed to contact Expedia, on arrival I was told they had no reservation for me, and no more rooms available. The General Manager, Khurram, was quick to tell me he's had a number of problems like this with Expedia, and was quick to start pointing the finger at them. When I explained several times I had called the Crossland number, not Expedia, he kept repeating there “was no female on duty when I called Monday”. When I repeatedly told him I knew I was talking to a corporate person, he could not seem to understand it. While standing at the front desk for 1 hour 45 minutes, 2 others came in with the same issue, confirmed reservations, but nothing at the motel under their name/confirmation number. I was told a year ago that some friends had problems here with no reservations when they arrived, but assumed it had to be a fluke. Now I know.
As a follow-up: I called the hotel number the night this happened, hoping to get the corporate office again. Told my concerns to the guy that answered, who promised to pass it up the line, and I should receive a follow-up call within 24-48 hours. Since this was the weekend, I assumed I would get a call by Tues. It's now a week later, and I've heard...
