I've tried this place 4 times now since they are so close to me, and every time has been bad. The first 2 times I went here, it was around 8:30-9am and got some baked goods to go from a lady who hates her job. All 5 baked items were stale day old and were trashed after 2 bites.
I figured I would try their regular food and give them one last chance. I did go on a busy night that they do a family meal special and ordered a smash burger. I waited almost 40 minutes for a smash burger just for it to be laughably cold. I was only 1 of four tables in the restaurant, but somehow... the lady, even though super nice, was too distracted and forgot about my order, but i could also see the window and saw my food was not in the window long. They made the burger, plated it, and then forgot to put it in the window.
Now I saw they just did a new update with an updated menu and now serve beer. Their online menu has burgers and wings, which I was really craving, so I drove there around 6:20pm. I'm sure it's hard to find people who will give an ounce of care for their job, but being cut off mid order and walked away from the counter without a word mid order 3 times is insane. A "what can I get you?" and after 4 words into my order, another server cuts me off to ask the lady, taking my order a question, with out even a word to me from either of them. Both ladies suddenly act as if i disappeared, start having a conversation, and BOTH walk away. Another lady comes up and asks me what i would like to order, and the lady who cut me off mid order earlier does the exact same thing again. The second lady taking my order also does THE EXACT SAME THING 𤣠no "excuse me/one moment", nothing, just starts talking to her, walks away and then comes back a minute later like nothing happend. In the moment it was so comical i wasnt even mad. So i order a burger, wings and a beer, they make you pay first (and still ask for a tip) sit down, then am told that they can't make the burger because it's only for lunch which stoped 3 hours ago. No where online or on their menu is that posted. Apparently its on their door, which im sure is a better place than the menu.
It's my own fault for going to this place again and again, but funny enough, the 4th time there, getting nothing was my best experience. I hear their pizza is average, so if that, day old stale donuts and microwaved pasta is your thing, then you might find this place ok. I'm flabbergasted by the good reviews of this place. There's no way all 3 times the food is trash, and all 4 times service was below par at best, and it was just bad luck.
Edit: the reply from the owners son says it all. Looking at the bad reviews it's always an...
Read moreReading other reviews I have to say I agree with I have no idea what place you're going to because this place is terrible. No one behind the counter to greet, it was a slow day with only two other people there in the sitting area, so I can maybe understand that workers were needed elsewhere, but this is no excuse because like any other human being I have been to a restaurant where someone is there to say "Hello". All the workers that did come to the front ignored us. Nothing in the front where the baked goods are were labeled or priced, I don't understand why. With the prices going up because everywhere was really shocked at the price, really really cheap. I wasn't expecting that and later after tasting their dinner rolls, I can see why. I was hoping for something made with better ingredients, but honestly trying to find that here, especially down town; nope. Medicore and another disappointment with being in this city. What bothers me the most is the lack of customer service. When we were waited on, it was okay, though one older comment mentioned the older lady/someone else not using gloves to pick up the food so now looking back I can't recall if the older lady did use gloves and that makes me nauseous, I and the two others I got these sweets for, a donut and cinnamon roll, are disabled with weak immune systems. Actually one said person came with us to the bakery and I felt like the older lady ignored him. Which irks me because, obviously. He's not a wall, he's a human. Also, lastly ; my mother, the other person in the party, asked if their was possibly something gluten free, obviously it being a bakery the chances are low and she knows this, but wanted to ask anyway. Even though it was kind of the older lady and I appreciate it a little, she offered something and it was a stale meringue, she warned us about that. Again, appreciate the kindness. The thing that irked me afterwards was how, yet again she ignored my older sibling who is disabled. If this spot is supposed to have good food or service, didn't experience it and I nor my family will be back again. I give only one star because the sugar covered donut I tried was a notch higher than Walmart's. There are better bakeries in Abq and ones with sweets to brag about with staff that talk to the customers and don't make someone who's disabled uncomfortable and like they're not there. I know it sounds cliché, I don't normally write reviews. This place is an exception. I really do hope customer service improves, but reviews from 6 years ago tell of the same thing so there is improvement. Just not enough to feel like it's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely loved this place I have gone almost every week since I found out about and have encouraged all my friends, family, and co workers to go check them out. I have never tried a item they sell that I wasn't completely in love with on the 1st bite.
However yesterday 10-14-2025 I had placed an order over the phone and when I went to pick it up the woman at the cashiers desk said she recognized me from last week amd I needed to pay her for last week's food as well. I told I know I paid and asked if my credit card declined why she didn't tell me that day so I could give her a different form of payment at that time .but that I I told her I was not going to trade trauma stories with her and that I would just like to have the food I paid for and to leave. She angrily went and got my order and put my cookies in a bag with them. She insisted on ringing up the cookies separate from the meal so she gave me $10 and some change back and I gave it back to her to pay for my meal which came out to a little more that $8 , she then accused me again of not giving her the right amount of money. I asked her if there were cameras that could show that I was giving her the correct amount. She just rolled her eyes and threw the bag of food at me. She did not give me my drink that comes with the meal. Another lovely young lady gave me drink. I said thank you and the other lady yelled if you comeback let them know I refuse to serve you . I shook my head and kept walking.
Today I called to try to rectify tge situation . and she answered the phone again and yelled again that she is the owner/manager and that her team has decided I'm not allowed to dine there anymore even though I told her I have physical proof on my bank statement that shows I paid. She sounds very disrespectful disorganized and just plain mean.
It is not okay to treat a loyal customer like this. I will now be putting in a formal complaint to the better business bureau. Since this person doesnt want to speak to me in a calm...
