My experience was actually horrible I had called and place to pick up order I asked for pineapples as it is shown on the Al pastor I got home to realize there was no place for me to eat out of I am currently moving out of my apartment so I don't have any dishes here awesome I called back to see why there was no pineapples on my food like I had asked and like the picture shows and the crew member sounded like a young lady that was very ill-tempered and rude I asked her for her name and she said I don't have to give you that my experience was horrible I'm now eating with my bare hands and no place to put it on and also I was looking for the taste of the pineapples how it shows in the pic I even went out of my way to ask them to put them on there and they told me I got you don't worry I'm very disappointed in their service and would actually like a refund this is not what I expected I drove 17 minutes for this not cool

Customer Service was below average. I asked if the water on the front counter was free and received a blank stare. We ordered a taco combo plate (Al Pastor) and received a mound of warm pork and warm pineapple pieces on top of four or five tortillas. The flavor was disappointing. The meat and the pineapple were just chopped and reheated together. Also the meat contained a couple of huge fatty inedible pieces. The a la carte chicken taco was like eating a boiled, shredded piece of flavorless chicken, very disappointing. The baked potato with sirloin was ok. Again the meat was decently tender but without much flavor. I also agree with other reviews that the smell of the establishment was not pleasant. All the windows were very dirty. The look and taste of the salsas at the salsa bar was what made me give a 2 star rating. Otherwise this was a 1 star review.

10/10 for the best authentic Mexican food in Albuquerque. This is my favorite restaurant to eat at every time I visit New Mexico. The food always tastes amazing and fresh. You can’t get this quality of food at many places and they just hit a home run every time. They have the best homemade flour & corn tortillas and we always buy extra to take home. The salsa bar has several options for adding to your meal & the guacamole salsa is my absolute favorite. The staff are so kind and friendly and make you feel like family every visit! I purchased a family meal to bring back to Germany with me and froze it before flying back home. My family was so excited to be able to eat taco tote in Germany after many years of missing the food.

If you have little kids DON'T EVER EAT HERE!!! Aweful customer service. Does not deserve one star. We ordered $50 worth of food. We had three large soda cups. One for all of us. We did not buy a soda for our 2 year old. Our two-year-old did not want to hold the big soda cup so we put a little bit of soda about half of a cup into a small child's sippy cup from our soda that we had, we did not take the sippy cup to the soda machine. One of the workers came over and told us that we could not do that. She told us that we had to buy a soda for the baby. we told her that no matter what the baby will not drink from the bigger cups. She told us that they sell sippy cups and that we had to buy one of their sippy cups. Absolutely rediculous!! We told her we were not going to buy their sippy cup. She told us that she was going to tell her manager, so she went to the back to tell her manager and all the employees were standing there pointing at us and talking about us all over a two-year-old drinking a little bit of soda from a sippy cup. after talking to her manager the same lady came back to our table and stood there to watch us eat. I asked her if she was going to stand there the whole time we were eating and she said yes until we buy their sippy cup. So we got up and left. This is the worst dining out experience we have ever had. I have never left a review about anything and this is my first one. Don't waste your money...

The food was excellent. Absolutely loved the chicken adobado tacos, which is good because those are the only kind of tacos we received. Chose Taco Tote because we were too lazy to drive to El Paisa. In hindsight, we probably would have been eating much faster if we overcome the inertia and made the small trek to the south valley.

The drive thru took 45 minutes despite us being the only ones using it. This is probably because they were relatively busy inside with dine in customers. We ordered four tacos: two chicken adobado, bean and cheese, and steak. There were two labeled as ā€œchicken adobadoā€ and two unlabeled once we finally received our order, however, we realized they were all chicken adobado once we got home. Although it was disappointing that most of our order was wrong, the tacos were absolutely delicious and honestly better than if I had received what I actually ordered.

If the tacos hadn’t been so tasty, I would never consider giving this place another try after how bizarre our drive-thru experience was. Our order was ready about ~38 minutes after ordering, but it took another 7 mins and multiple staff walking by the drive thru window before they noticed us waiting...

As much as I hate saying negative stuff about one of my all-time favorite eateries in the high desert, I feel it’s important to share several let downs I’ve experienced at the ABQ location on Central. Small portions, old condiments like lemons, cucumbers, lettuce is not iceberg, and they really limit consumption when ordering take-out and even dining in. There are no individual plates for condiments and salsa containers are super small, plus leaving a terrible footprint on the environment. The times I have ordered to go, they always miss something. Not sure it’s because they simply don’t have a lot of business, but pricing isn’t exactly cheap. Fresh and bountiful condiments and salsas are a must in any taco joint. I first started eating Taco Tote as a child growing up in Ciudad Juarez, where the restaurant originated, and all I can say is that even the El Paso locations are WAY better. Hoping this review will improve the salsa and condiment bar. Hoping portions increase, as quite frankly, it isn’t cheap eating such...
