If you have little kids DON'T EVER EAT HERE!!! Aweful customer service. Does not deserve one star. We ordered $50 worth of food. We had three large soda cups. One for all of us. We did not buy a soda for our 2 year old. Our two-year-old did not want to hold the big soda cup so we put a little bit of soda about half of a cup into a small child's sippy cup from our soda that we had, we did not take the sippy cup to the soda machine. One of the workers came over and told us that we could not do that. She told us that we had to buy a soda for the baby. we told her that no matter what the baby will not drink from the bigger cups. She told us that they sell sippy cups and that we had to buy one of their sippy cups. Absolutely rediculous!! We told her we were not going to buy their sippy cup. She told us that she was going to tell her manager, so she went to the back to tell her manager and all the employees were standing there pointing at us and talking about us all over a two-year-old drinking a little bit of soda from a sippy cup. after talking to her manager the same lady came back to our table and stood there to watch us eat. I asked her if she was going to stand there the whole time we were eating and she said yes until we buy their sippy cup. So we got up and left. This is the worst dining out experience we have ever had. I have never left a review about anything and this is my first one. Don't waste your money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was excellent. Absolutely loved the chicken adobado tacos, which is good because those are the only kind of tacos we received. Chose Taco Tote because we were too lazy to drive to El Paisa. In hindsight, we probably would have been eating much faster if we overcome the inertia and made the small trek to the south valley.
The drive thru took 45 minutes despite us being the only ones using it. This is probably because they were relatively busy inside with dine in customers. We ordered four tacos: two chicken adobado, bean and cheese, and steak. There were two labeled as āchicken adobadoā and two unlabeled once we finally received our order, however, we realized they were all chicken adobado once we got home. Although it was disappointing that most of our order was wrong, the tacos were absolutely delicious and honestly better than if I had received what I actually ordered.
If the tacos hadnāt been so tasty, I would never consider giving this place another try after how bizarre our drive-thru experience was. Our order was ready about ~38 minutes after ordering, but it took another 7 mins and multiple staff walking by the drive thru window before they noticed us waiting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs much as I hate saying negative stuff about one of my all-time favorite eateries in the high desert, I feel itās important to share several let downs Iāve experienced at the ABQ location on Central. Small portions, old condiments like lemons, cucumbers, lettuce is not iceberg, and they really limit consumption when ordering take-out and even dining in. There are no individual plates for condiments and salsa containers are super small, plus leaving a terrible footprint on the environment. The times I have ordered to go, they always miss something. Not sure itās because they simply donāt have a lot of business, but pricing isnāt exactly cheap. Fresh and bountiful condiments and salsas are a must in any taco joint. I first started eating Taco Tote as a child growing up in Ciudad Juarez, where the restaurant originated, and all I can say is that even the El Paso locations are WAY better. Hoping this review will improve the salsa and condiment bar. Hoping portions increase, as quite frankly, it isnāt cheap eating such...
