Boba Tea Company — Restaurant in Albuquerque

My experience was likely a one-off, but the negatives were just basic things that should be easily fixable by this location. I will preface this by saying that I worked at a boba shop so I have an understanding of how easy it is to not mess up these kinds of drinks. My first problem with this business (not this location) is that the menu is completely inscrutable. Everything has a cutesy name that obscures any meaning, which is more a personal annoyance, but it does make it hard for new customers to feel like they know what they'll be getting. The employee who took my order was kind and efficient However, when I received my drink and left the store, I learned that the theoretically sealed cup cover was unfortunately mostly not sealed onto mine, which resulted in me dumping a large portion of it onto my shoes. Then when I started to actually drink the thing I discovered that most of the boba was stuck into a giant clump, which indicates that the tapioca pearls aren't being paid attention to. I was the only customer in the store so I also would have hoped that the person who made my drink might have taken the time to notice the giant clump and discarded it rather than putting it in my drink. My blended drink also had big chunks of ice in it. I will likely go back when I'm in the area just to see if I can have a better experience, but this bummed me out as I really feel like I have pretty low standards for boba tea this was...

The best Boba Tea shop ever! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I asked for pure taro and she said, ok, I will make it for you. Got my taro boba tea and it is thick and ice cold and tastes clean and rich, not fake or powdery. The store has clean tables, beautiful view of Nob Hill and foot traffic. I went with two people and they also lived loved their drinks. One got green tea, it was clean and perfectly sweet. The other got a "princess" and it had bobas with gel inside, and they popped when you bite down, very crazy fun.

We saw people come in and were confused because there were a lot of option and it might be a lot to handle on first visit, but remember the staff was so helpful and never made me feel I had to rush or feel unsatisfied.

I entered this store and there were already four other people waiting in line. I don’t know how long the four individuals had been waiting before me, but I asked them if they’d seen an employee the whole time. They said no. There were also two customers finishing their drinks inside. Five minutes later two workers come out of the back grinning and said, “sorry we didn’t hear the door open.” Which I do not believe in the slightest; we were talking loudly. But even if that were the case, they should have been keeping an eye on the customers who already had their drinks and have an awareness of new people coming in.
