Nestled in the heart of town, Jack's Place offers a delightful breakfast experience that feels like a warm hug from an old friend. This quaint restaurant boasts a charming ambiance that invites you to sit down and stay awhile. Upon entering, I was greeted by the owner, whose genuine friendliness and eagerness to engage in conversation added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable.
The breakfast itself was nothing short of perfection. The eggs were cooked exactly to my liking, with a skillful touch that provided them with a silky, just-right texture. Accompanying the eggs, the bacon could be customized to how crispy or tender you prefer, and it was cooked precisely to order, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.
A standout feature was their homemade sourdough bread. It was freshly baked, with a perfect crust that's slightly chewy yet tender on the inside, making it a fantastic complement to the meal. The bread not only served as a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality but also elevated the entire breakfast experience.

For those of you who are okay with this, Jack's is awesome. I can't explain it. It's way too small, the food is as low-frills as food can possibly get. But it's nicely cooked, the coffee is good. What else do you need? Once you get a couple visits under your belt you will understand there will only be one Jack's.
You absolutely need to talk to other customers here in order to borrow sugar, or pass a plate to another table, or the myriad other little transactions that take place in a restaurant. Jack has clearly been doing this a long time, his long list of regulars keep him in business. Locals strive to "know" Jack, probably so they can brag about that to their friends. It's often crowded. Nobody there knows you so don't expect the friendliest atmosphere at first, you need to stop by maybe 6-7 times to get the best vibe. Since he's not getting any younger you'd best hurry and get as many trips under your belt as you can...

Be prepared to wait if the indoor seating if they are busy. Come with conversation- with two in the kitchen running everything, you’ll wait a little longer, but for better food.
They also do carry out, if you aren’t interested in waiting a little bit… you can walk to any of the nearby parks to enjoy their wonderful food, packed with love.
I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. We’ve been searching for a place like this since leaving the Midwest and the desert.
