Culver’s — Restaurant in Algoma Township

My husband & I went to Culver's with my brother-in-law about 7:00 last night (Friday March 3).We went through the drive thru. He ordered a fish dinner, a shrimp dinner & a kids chicken strip dinner. He ordered & paid for a side salad instead of the coleslaw with this fish dinner but that didn't make it in the bag, the dinner rolls that went with the fish dinner & shrimp dinner were stale, hard as a rock, the fish(cod) has always been his favorite, was a tiny child's portion of fish! The 3 meals were ice cold when we got home with them & they live 5 minutes from the Rockford location! They have never had a problem with the Cedar Springs Culver location where they usually go on their way home from work. Their food is always still piping hot when they get home! They Never were so disappointed with a Culver's meal as they were with these 3 meals. We have Never gone to a Culver's in our lives yet, (Living in Conklin Mi) & based on what they got last night... we don't know IF we ever Want to try it! The Commercials on TV make the food look So Good, but you sure couldn't tell that by the food my Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law paid for last night! I visited this location this evening and I hate to say, I was really disappointed 😞. I really like Culver's and have visited many in many different states. I even visited the world's largest location in Wisconsin. But, this evening just didn't measure up. I ordered a Swiss melt a lg fry and a fish sandwich. My first real red flag happened when I drove up to pay and the person who was taking the money seemed more interested in the other employees instead of the guest. I paid drove and waited for my food. Once I received it I started to drive off and open my sandwich. To my dismay the melt had a huge whole right in the middle of the dread, making it extremely hard to hold without getting Cheddar cheese all over my fingers. The fish sandwich, which is usually golden brown was extremely dark drown ( clearly over cooked). The k ly really good item was the fries. I'm an old guy and this was perhaps the BEST fast food I've ever received! My wife definitely agrees with that. All of the food was fresh and hot and delicious. The onion rings, OH the onion rings! Beer battered crispy fresh and incredible. Chicken cashew salads had lots of unsalted cashews just like it's supposed to be. The chicken was hot moist and flavorful. Not rubbery or dry. Nice combination of fresh leafy greens. Now so you will know that this review is legit I just recently reviewed a Wendy's in Big Rapids, MI. which was some of the worst food I've ever received. The salads were spoiled (actually rotten) to the degree that we had to dispose of two entire meals.
