I posted this review 5 weeks ago and I am still waiting for an owner or DM to reach out and make it right, so I deleted the old one and am posting again. I just got billed for my fifth month of paying for a phone I was told was free. This location referred me to corporate. Corporate referred me to the third party phone exchange. The third party was zero help.
Took part of the ATT device trade promotion in for a free iPhone 16 in October. I traded in my iPhone 12 (good condition, no cracks, working order). While hesitant since I am not a tech guru, it was a no-brainer. I was assured my bill would go down since I was paying on my previous phone (while I understand it is impossible to know the exact amount prior, I was ballparked at “$85-90” per month).
I mailed in my device promptly, but after 3 months and a 65 minute customer service call, another visit to the location and a call to the third party trade-in company I have not received any promotional credit. It seems like no one is able to help me. This is my third billing cycle of it being at $119, a far cry from the $85-90 dollars per month I was told. At this rate I am looking at $700-1000 over my contract.
I will say, everyone has been extremely friendly at this location and don’t necessarily think they are fully to blame. I’m not sure what the disconnect is between the trade in company and the store but friendly doesn’t help me when I am paying $30+ a month than what was told. Read moreThis was the biggest mistake we ever made! Matt told us our bill would be $280 a month that they would pay our phones from Verizon off. we have had NOTHING but issues. Our first bill was almost $800 we were told pay the first one and you will get cards to pay your Verizon phones off AND your bill will be under $100. Our next bill almost $500. We have stopped into the store at least 10 times and Alex the district manager is a joke. He will NEVER respond. he had the audacity to say he talked to me yesterday when in fact I talked to his store manager who is a female. Not only were we lied to about our bill but there is no cards to pay our phones off, our son who is stationed over seas went without a phone for awhile because they didn’t put his international plan in, our other two kids also went without phones because they sinked the phones wrong and had to wait it out. So we have been dealing with this for 7 weeks. My husband spent 3.5 hours today on the phone with customer service. We found out the guy who “signed” us up was moved to another location because he lies to so many customers. Meanwhile district manager Alex won’t help. He passed it to his store manager who was very kind but has zero capabilities to do anything. Oh and the whole 3.5 hours my husband was on the phone he had to go back to the store and talk in a three way with customer service and the store manager. This store is HORRIBLE!!! With my husband being really bummed he didn’t walk out with a new phone I looked up the next location! (It’s been years since my husband has gotten a new phone he still had the J7) Rockford! Called ahead to make sure they had what my husband wanted and that their system was working! My husband got the phone he wanted plus more thanks to Brendon the manager that day! The store seemed much cleaner than Greenville and a lot more in store selections plus very professional help! I will be coming to this store for now on even tho I live in Greenville!
