Meijer — Local services in Algoma Township

Off & on I been shopping Meijer (Rockford, Alpine, Muskegon, Clyde Park stores) between shopping, I have been also going to WalMart or Family Fare. Today, Sunday 6/16/19 I thought I would try Rockford Meijer again; It is apparent to me now that no matter which one I go to...Out of Stock (OOS) continues and just is getting worse. Not only do they get rid of good sell-thru products, they are unable to keep items in stock. No Ocean Spray Cran-Grape 3 liters, No Meijer Dietary Trail Mix, No Dean Ice Cream and luckily, I was able to get two bottles of only 3 left on the shelf of Iron Chef Sesame Garlic Sauce & Glaze! I spoke to two store associates about getting the items not in stock, but, both said there was nothing in the backroom! THEN at check out, I did my Mperks, tapped my card, showed the cashier the coupons, placed them on the shelf and while I was putting my groceries in the cart (and asked if he had paper because he was putting everything in Plastic!), seemed to ignore me so I grabbed bags from the cashier next to me and started putting my stuff into the bags from the plastic!! and then the cashier handed me my receipt and I looked at the shelf, picked up the coupons and handed them to him and he just looked at me! I said "Why are the coupons sitting here? YOU did take them off...RIGHT?!! he hands them & receipt back to me and says, OH, no, I did not, you will have to go to Customer Service.

Went to Rockford Meijer Friday, had Blue Isle yogurt as BOGO Sale, bought four out of six; last two Honey & two Honey Coconut. No more products on shelf or in back room! Two days of Sale left and NO PRODUCT! Called Alpine store & was told they don't carry. Went to Standale store Get this...they were doing a Demo on Blue Isle & had ZERO PRODUCT for customers!! During a DEMO! Going down hill since they got rid of great long term office employees and hired young and it reflects!! Didn't have OOS years ago and now, every time I shop Meijer, they OOS on way too many items. Marzetti Thousand Island is another example.

5/8/2022 I used to buy powdered Coffee mate Chocolate Creme creamer and once again Meijer gets rid of a good selling product. Over past 4 months I been to 7 Meijer stores and now found out They discontinued ALL Flavored Coffee mate creamers and only carry Sugar Free. So I now been shopping at Walmart, and EVERYTHING Meijer has neglected, Walmart has! And is now My shopping destination! Better prices, ALWAYS have product and carry all what I USE to buy from Meijer. *Friends and family have also changed shopping to Walmart because of the very same reasons I stated. Ones loss is another's gain!

4/6/23 Thought I would check Meijer to see if they brought back Coffee mate Flavored creamer Regular (NOT sugar free); Yes, they carry and actually put back Shelf Tags for them. However, now they stopped carrying Simply Oat Milk! Which only had two ingredients! Very healthy and of course,...

Twice I have gone through Cherilynn's lane... Nice lady, but she can screw up a customer order. First experience with her I asked her if she gave me my receipt, she said she did, I couldn't find it , and thank God that her next customer was my daughter's 200.00 dollar order. She never totaled my order out so consequently it was added to my daughter's bill. That's why I didn't get a receipt. When we got home we had to sit down and thoroughly go through the receipt to figure out what I owed her. When we went over the receipt we noticed she charged my daughter twice for one stalk of celery. And now to today's experience. I had 11 items of the "buy 10 and get the 11th item free. The next order was for my 87 year old mother and the same woman (Cherilynn) put my 11th item on my mom's order. I had the divider between both orders, so this shouldn't have happened and I didn't get the 11th item free. I know I will never go through her lane again - nice lady but too many mistakes. Also , I can't believe it has only happened to me, my daughter, and my mom. Thank you for listening to my complaint. Mrs....

We use Meijer a LOT! Word to the wise: check the prices you have to pay against the advertised price on the shelves. Today, needed Milk Bones for the dogs. Sign said "Buy 1 get another 30% off." WATCH OUT - It doesn't ring up that way at the register! I photoelectric the shelf, showed the cashier, and she said, "Show Customer Service, they will issue the difference plus $5.00 for the incorrect charge." WRONG! After standing in line (with 6 others) Customer service apologized for the long wait, and refunded the $4.65 but NOT the $5.00 (State mandated penalty). I said the cashier said there was an additional $5.00, and should be told you dont always pay out the $5.00. She told me the cashier was wrong, and does not work in Customer Service! Wow! Guess she was having a bad day. Bottom line, Meijer should be aware of what their shelf ads imply, and program the registers accordingly. Meijer probably remains my number one go to store, but I really don't like having to watch their charges vs...
