Karachi Kabobs — Restaurant in Algonquin

Hate to give bad reviews but really disappointed here. 3rd time trying this place…This most recent time ordered a beef bihari wrap. The meat was actually mushy and not edible. How does meat get this mushy was it sitting in an acidic marinade for days and days to the point where it was too broken down to keep any texture?? Really nasty. Than the sauces. I asked for sauce on the side. There were three the first tasted like thousand island which is gross, second was like a sweet chili almost tasted like the sauce from a sweet and sour Chinese chicken, the third was decent it looked like a chimichurri and had some ok traditional seasonings.

After yet another horrible dining experience I decided I will not be giving Kirachi another chance. I am really hoping the area gets a decent middle eastern restaurant. I am so sick of driving to Schaumburg, come on Algonquin get with the program! I know Karachi is Pakistani and not traditional middle eastern but their menu has crossover like chicken schawarma.

I was disappointed enough to see Peri-Peri move onto Schaumburg and see people lining out in the streets to eat there, while the one we open in Algonquin somehow manages to close yet “McDonald’s” is a 50 car backup drive through line. Makes me cringe.

In the meantime, before this area gets some decent middle eastern I will make my own toum and the like…be...

Went there on a late lunch and walked in and my first impression was like waking into a dungeon. It was dark and it was sunny out. It looked like they were saving electricity or something. No one was at the counter at first and silence...not a greeting, no welcome, no smile, nothing. Lady was just there to take order. No customer service skills which are the most important in ANY establishment. She handed me the food without saying a word. I said thank you. They should say thank you and come again if they want business. I ordered the chicken wrap, lamb kabobs and chicken tikka combo. Very pricey (over $50 for 3 items!) and they were not that good. Had a case of food poisoning an hour after eating their food. Case of diarrhea! I was suspecting that yogurt sauce or something spoiled. Very disappointed and will never try this place again. I give this place a big thumbs down for food, atmosphere, and especially their customer service that is...

My wife had the Beeef Bihari kebob meal and I had the Lamb Bihari kebob meal. Both came with rice and Paratha ( flat bread to tear apart and eat the.meat with) and sauces to top the meat. the meat Was tender was flavorful with just the right amount of spices. The meals were filling and the prices fair for the amount of food served. The owner stopped by our table to.make sure the food was to our liking( which it was).. We will go back soon to try other dishes from their menu. It is great to have a quality place to go to without the drive to Schaumburg area. UPDATE 02/29/2020 Tonight we had the Chicken Tikka and the Boti Chicken. The Chicken Tikka was full of flavor and cook to perfection. My wife likes it over mine now.
