I went in to get 2 drinks after work, and there was one person waiting before me. I went up to order, and by the time I had completed ordering it took me over 20 minutes to get my drink. The workers were moving so leisurely, like they had all day to make them, specifically the young girl who was making mine. By the time I had gotten my order, a few more people had walked in an ordered. The staff seemed like they had no care for peoples time. It shouldn’t have taken that long to get 2 drinks when the shop wasn’t full. It was my first time there, and truthfully the service turns me off from going back.
Edit: gave the place a second chance a few months later and am even more disappointed and angry. My boyfriend went in this time to get an order. He took his order, other people came in after and ordered and received their drinks before him. They also stopped making our order mid way to take more people’s orders. Then, the staff says they need to make fresh boba and now the wait is even longer. This place does not know how to operate and serve its customers half decently. Both times we had tipped quite well when paying to ensure somewhat good service. Both times we have waited over half an hour and received terrible service. Never coming back.
The owner is making excuses for its staff rather than training them properly. I wrote my first review a month after the first incident, and they responded like they knew exactly the day when I was there. I’ve rarely ever had issues when getting boba from other shops, but both times I have tried Feng Cha Allen, I have the most...
Read moreI recently visited Feng Cha Allen before heading to Whole Foods and ordered a Mango Fantasy. On my way back, I started drinking it and noticed multiple mango seed fragments in the drink. At first, I told myself it was just one or two pieces—not a big deal. However, as I kept drinking, I found more and more fragments, until one got stuck painfully in my teeth. I contacted the store and requested a replacement, but they refused to exchange the drink. Instead, they offered me to buy a new one with a 15% discount (what????), which wasn’t acceptable given the situation. What shocked me the most was that they didn’t even say “sorry” for the inconvenience. The lady was rude and dismissive, making me feel like this might be a common issue they simply don’t care to address. I attached a picture of the fragments I found after drinking about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cup. I had shaken the drink before drinking, so it’s likely that there were even more fragments in the cup that I didn’t consume because I stopped drinking after finding so many. Besides, the mango seed fragment was lodged so deep that dental floss couldn’t remove it. To make matters worse, it also chipped part of a previously filled tooth. I ended up spending $175 today at the dentist to get the fragment removed and my...
Read moreI'm obsessed with Feng Cha! Their popping boba is seriously the best I've ever had - it's like a flavor explosion in your mouth! And their matcha game is strong, always rich and creamy without any bitterness. Plus, their tapioca pearls are cooked to perfection, not too hard and not too soft. But what really sets them apart is the amazing service! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, they remember my name and my favorite drinks, and they're always happy to make recommendations or accommodate special requests. They're super efficient too, even when the line is out the door (which is often!). Yeah, it's a bit pricey ($6-8+ per drink), but trust me, it's worth every penny. The vibe is also really cute and clean, makes me feel like I'm treating myself to a little luxury. If you're a boba lover like me, you gotta check it out - the service alone will keep you...
