Salsa Tex-Mex - Allen — Restaurant in Allen

I shared my experience in this establishment about 2 years ago giving them exceptional recognition for the wonderful delicious food, and the ambiance and of course great service from the waitress staff to the management. Unfortunately the service, and management is not what it use to be. But I keep going why...because the food is great but management there is not hospitable at all. I went without my family (we go there twice a week sometimes) a good manager will recognize his customers. Today I went there alone, there at the front greeting area were 5 people 2 whom were the manager and assistant manager. I said hi to everyone with the happy smile, no one acknowledged me. I asked to be seated at same area where I always have been. Place was empty, no I would not have asked for my special place if it was crowded. Table that the hostess guided me to had not been cleaned. The lady whom I've always assumed is the assistant manger (lady that walks around always looking mad) proceeded to walk to my table and wiped the table with a "dirty napkin that had been on the table used by the previous customers"!! I should have just walked out but didn't want to he rude, so stayed putting my aggravation aside and enjoyed a somewhat good meal. Not done..... a group of non-hispanic show up and manager lays down the red carpet for them. I felt somewhat offended, he himself is hispanic. Still I had a smile for him and his assistant which went ignored. Well, I think my money was as good as the money of family that walked in. If their is a next time I'll be sure to round my family and go in a group. But not...

My friends and I have come here many times and have had a great experience! However on Friday June 13th, we experienced a "Karen and a Kevin". We were sitting at the bar on Friday during peak happy hour time laughing and talking . The restaurant was full of folks enjoying themselves. We could hear chatter and conversations from other tables as well . However we were the only ones that were asked to Quiet down! Huh? What ? The bartender / waiter apologized and said he was just the messenger. The guy sitting next to me moved 1 stool over ! Ha! TIP: if you want to have a quiet intimate dinner with some one DO NOT sit at the bar on a Friday during happy hour at a popular spot !! We took the high road this time ! On the way out, someone recognized my friend whom they had not seen in years, and it was a very exciting OMG moment. They hugged , chatted a bit, and we all said we would meet up again to catch up . They had friends at their table, and we all introduced ourselves as polite humans, and hit it off pretty well. The manager was going around to tables checking on folks, and my friend asked him a question . He said if we could just tone it down a lil bit . He was respectful about it . You would've thought we were dancing on tables or something 😂 Yes, we were very SOBER ! The hostess faked a smile on the way out , and then rolled her eyes. You get a 1 star for that !! Are we going to allow Kevin and Karen to run us off ? Absolutely not !!! Therefore they still get the stars for now ! I will be back with a follow-up to see how our next girls meet up...

I was so excited when Salsa Tex-Mex came to Allen. My husband and I have ordered from the Allen location several times. The last two times we placed an order, the guy taking the order was rude. In addition, the guy was extremely rude when the order was picked up. Our order was incorrect the last two times. The first time the manager on duty was a lady and she was really sweet an apologetic and made things right. When my husband picked up the order tonight, he asked the same guy from the previous visit who took the order if the order was correct, and he said yes. When my husband got home with the order it was missing items. My husband headed up to the restaurant again. In the meantime, I called the manager. When I spoke to the manager what happened he told me it was my responsibility to look and make sure I got all the items in the order. Unbelievable! When my husband got to the restaurant, the manager changed his attitude because he was in front of a lot of customers. Also, the manager said there was a lot of new people working there and my husband said the guy that screwed up the order the first time is the same guy that did it again tonight. I would not be this upset if it was not for the guy taking the order being extremely rude and well as the manager on duty tonight. The only reason I gave two stars is that the food is good, but picking up one order twice in order to get everything I paid for is unacceptable. Then it...
