Watters Donuts — Restaurant in Allen

This is the only donut shop in our area that I've found crullers, my husband's favorite donut. They were nice enough to dip 2 in maple frosting for me. My son was thrilled to get a green frosted donut on his birthday (his favorite color). Sometimes there's a bit of a language barrier. I asked for a dozen mixed donut holes - so I wanted a few of each kind - and was given a bag of glazed donut holes. Thankfully I was able to switch to what I actually wanted. It would be nice to get blueberry and chocolate donut holes as well as raised. Unfortunately it's a bit of a drive for us, so we only go if we're on our way to somewhere else. I’ve tasted a lot of doughnuts. A lot. Lots of sweets looking for the perfect taste to stop my fearful thoughts and be in the present moment. Well these donuts did it. The taste and quality is beyond any I’ve EVER tasted. They are not nasty and greasy, they are fabulous in texture and taste. I’m so so lucky to exist and be alive so that I could experience such a pleasureable experience as even taking a slight bite of your doughnuts. You guys are phenomenal! My favorite donut shop. I try and sample glazed donuts from most donuts shops in this area and this has consistently been my favorite place to go to for a classic glazed for the last 2 years. They have a warm yeasty taste, not too sweet, and moderately soft. The dough is just so good.

It's not a melt in your mouth type donut, but man is it tasty. Wish more places would tone down the sweetness like this place. Don't wait, don't hesitate, it's all great.
