Mary Ann Donut Kitchen — Restaurant in Allentown

! Warning ! If you are a person of color some staff members will treat you differently. After posting my review below it appears other people have experienced the same thing here.

This place seemed really nice when we walked in and met a really nice lady, unfortunately they were out of donuts on Sunday. So we came back today and, we were greeted by a rather rude elderly lady. As soon as we entered the door my partner and I felt that we were being rushed out. The worker was glaring at us and being incredibly short with her statements. When my partner asked for a coffee she said that they only serve one size to her. Again coming across, like we don’t want to serve you. We waited to get our coffee and she left it at the end of the counter and basically told us to go get it. So we both felt like it was not a good experience and we have been too so many cafes and donut places and never felt this way. It was so different than just the normal customer experience that I needed to write a review about it, which I have never done on google before. Hard to find something bad about this place honestly. We went later in the morning so they were sold out of some of the more popular or unique flavors so I guess if that's a negative, that's the one. Aside from that, there isn't much. The women working inside were all very friendly and helpful. One preferred the chocolate donut and one preferred the vanilla...so I got both. Samantha wanted to try the chocolate peanut butter so we grabbed one of those too. The flavor and quality of the donuts themselves was very solid. I couldn't choose between the vanilla and chocolate, I enjoyed them both a lot, and equally. The Chocolate Peanut Butter was also very good with some PB pumped into the center. I stopped in at 10:30 and they were nearly out of everything, which is a good sign. I tried the chocolate frosted cinnamon swirl donut. and it was a hit between my son and I. I had a caramel iced coffee, which was very clearly the international delight iced coffee, which I use at home and LOVE! Next time I won't purchase iced coffee after learning it's the same stuff I use at home, but these are the most affordable fresh donuts you'll find anywhere in the area! They were extremely accommodating with my debit card, and I will be back. If you're going to dunking donuts, just stop! You are paying an entire dollar more there, but for frozen donuts.
