Came here for first day of Alpharetta Restaurant Week 2023. I haven't ever been here before. I sat at the bar. There were 8 others also sitting at bar. The waitress was nice. She didn't have the restaurant week menu so had to run and get it. The menu is confusing as it offers two starters, but there was only one of me, so don't know. I ordered fried pickles, gyro, and banana pudding. The pickles were good and hot temp. Loved the fried coating very crispy. The gyro came out on a flat pita bread and 5+ tomatoes, lettuce and a little sauce and 5 little strips of chicken. There was no way to fold it so I just tried to cut and eat. Nothing spectacular and odd for a gyro. The potatoes had no taste. The waitress told me they were out of banana pudding. Not a great way to start restaurant week when you're out of one of 2 desserts offered. The other dessert was ice cream. It came out 15 minutes after I started eating my meal. I managed to rush and finish to eat the melted ice cream. No one cared, no one talked to me...sad start to my reviews of Alpharetta Restaurant. Probably won't be back when I have so many other solid choices. Sad as I was hoping to find a gem tucked away....$25 later I left.

2024 update: Brimstone recently opened their expansion which now includes a designated poker area, pool tables, darts and too many TVs to count. Brittany is still the best TD and server in the house - normally managing anywhere from 12 - 25+ players by herself. Brimstone offers good food, poker, live music, line dancing, karaoke and more. Old review: I started coming here about two years ago to play league poker (Any Two Cards Poker League). Back then, the food and the service left a lot to be desired. Fast forward, I'm back to play, and the food and service is so much better. My understanding is that they hired a new chef and they have more staff. Brittany is a fantastic tournament director and she efficiently handles 30+ players ordering food and drinks throughout the evening. I've enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp, the Black and Bleu Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which so far, is my favorite. Also, the place is often rocking with either live music, a private party or poker players.

I am new to the area and was looking for a unique place to grab some lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem so, conveniently located near the mall. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a friendly and adorable bartender who went out of his way to make sure I was happy. Ladies he's single so, you've got to see this hottie. I asked him what was good which he responded, "everything". I ordered the chicken avocado wrap with sweet potato fries. The wrap was packed full of flavor and had just the right combination of sweetness with the cranberries. The sweet potato fries are thin and crispy with just enough salt. I couldn't stop eating them! I will definitely return for some of the late night entertainment or to watch a football game next time I'm in the area!

There are a number of reasons I feel inclined to review this place:

It's not exactly in prime real estate for restaurants. The bar atmosphere was not immediately appealing or drew me in. The food was WAY better than expected.

First of all, it's located at a weird junction where Old Alabama Road and Mansell Road meet up. Not exactly where you'd expect to find restaurants -- at least of any decent quality. Don't let that compel you though. Make the little extra drive from North Point Parkway or wherever else you are.

It's mostly a sports bar. There is a restaurant side, but it might or might not be open based on how much business the restaurant is doing. On the night I went, it was closed on the restaurant side and just bar patrons sitting around. I almost turned around and walked off since the seating was pretty limited... and a large group was already seated who were pretty filthy and pretty loud. Actually, the filthy part doesn't bother me, but I figured it would be a turn off for some patrons. Anyway, don't let this throw you off either.

Okay, the food. I have to say, when you go to a sports bar, you're kind of expecting a short-order cook (at best) just making some marginally acceptable food to people who are too drunk to know any better. Not the case here. They have a real, bonafide chef doing the work. He even came around and made sure everyone was enjoying the meal. Split a burger and a chicken BLT wrap. Burger was really good... but the chicken BLT wasn't far behind.

Service was super friendly and accommodating. I really wish Fire and Brimstone was in my neighborhood so I could go more often. It's on my rotation now though for whenever I'm on that...

Came here as a group after my grandfathers funeral. Won’t be back. Took a long time to get our food. Things were missing and almost everything had something wrong. My meal was forgotten entirely so my family was half way done by the time it finally came out. When it came out, it was completely wrong. It was fried instead of grilled and the things I asked withheld due to medical issues were on it. Didn’t bother replacing it as my family was almost done and service slow. Didn’t want to hold the rest of the group up. Nobody even asked if there was a problem when clearing the table and seeing it wasn’t touched. Wanted to pay early since there were 3 young kids and wanted to be able to make a quick exit if they got impatient. Trying to get the bill was ridiculous. And we were the first people in and the only people for the first half hour. My husband told them he wasn’t done yet, even if half the party was, but they took his plate anyways because they had an event that was starting up and needed the tables. Weren’t even out the door when they rearranged the table and started sitting others. Drinks never got refilled either. Won’t be back. The one positive was their sweet potato tots. Stole a couple of my kids to tie me over until we left and I picked up some fast food on my way home since others were mostly full but I hadn’t eaten. Just a bad experience after an...
