Got a call today from a colleague that they were waiting almost 5 minutes to be served. We were on the call for another 4 minutes, when the colleague had still not been served. There was one customer besides him in the restaurant. The server was speaking to the guest and did not once acknowledge my colleague. My colleague left and went to another Waffle House where he was greeted as soon as he opened the door and his order was taken right away.
So, I went to this Waffle House soon after to see what would happen. I arrived about 12 minutes later and verified the server and cook via phone with my colleague. I went in and stood where he sat and waited. And waited. And waited. I was not acknowledged by the same server for 5 minutes and 18 seconds. There was now a lovely couple and no one else in the establishment. The server walked right pass me a few times and did not utter a word to me. He went to wipe tables that were already clean. When the cook was done cooking the food for the couple, she turned to me and said "Hi. What do you need?" She was nice. I told her that I only needed to see how long it would take the server to acknowledge me - of which he never did. Sucks for him because I usually tip 100% at Waffle House. She was cool - love a person who has blue hair. 🤩
I am giving a 3 because it was only one person who was not courteous. Re-Training would be a great thing. Customer service means a lot!

She didn’t ask me for any condiments. Again, I been to waffle houses in my hometown that would not act this way. The only thing she communicated was it ws for that it was time to pay.. Plus, I tried to call them earlier they didn’t answer. I called them plenty of times no answer either. I guess they want to work for free? Lol. Read moreWe entered the establishment at 12:00 noon: Noone made an acknowledgement, no eye contact either. There were about 6 to 7 open tables, we approached two tables by the windows, which had not been cleared or cleaned....as we stood there, a young lady with died yellow hair very slowly began to clear one of the tables, first she cleared the trash, then she came back, placed silverware in the cups, she took the 2 plates, and left the stack of cups with silverware. She started washing the plates, never came back for the cups with silverware. We decided to leave after 10 to 15 minute wait. Which we are happy we left, we ended up at Cracker Barrel. We walked into Cracker Barrel and was instantly greeted, and the customer service, plus food were outstanding. I would assume sitting the customer prior to washing a couple of plates...
