The drinks here are standard with other locations, but the staff in the evenings (5-close) is horrible. They yell at each other in front of customers, and have complained to me personally about their coworkers. Incredibly unprofessional. They are completely unorganized and on several occasions have completed my order before others who have ordered before me which has caused confusion when other people take a drink that was meant for me. Also, this staff doesn’t know the Starbucks menu at all. I’ve ordered drinks straight from the menu without modifications and have been told that my drink “doesn’t exist” and ive pointed to the menu to show the LITERAL DRINK I ORDERED just to have the barista say “oh...” and proceed to yell at someone to come from the back to help. It’s a mad house here every time we come and if it weren’t for the location we wouldn’t come back. But it’s the only decent coffee place within Avalon so there’s no choice. We’ve been here roughly 100 times since it’s opened and we’ve never had a frictionless experience. Ridiculous, they need a regional manager...
Read moreThis location is technically inside the conference center it is next to, meaning you must fight through the heavy and half-broken conference center doors to get your coffee. Also, this location does NOT offer wifi, and you must instead rely on the rather weak conference center wifi.
I got a butter croissant and venti americano. The croissant was bland and rather dense and the americano was weak.
The service was outstanding! The girl who took my order was very cheerful and professionally friendly, and the other staff members seemed the same.
There is limited seating inside but a nice number of tables and chairs outside. The "patio" is technically next to the concierge entrance for the hotel next door, but the cars were typically luxury models that were quiet with very little exhaust, so it was still a very nice place to sit and work.
This is a good location to walk to or drive to and stay for a while, but not for online or in-person quick pick-ups...
Read moreas a fellow starbucks barista at a different location, i am ashamed of how this location is acting, especially one barrista, Rayne. when i was waiting on my drinks i was paying attention to how raine was making my drink and i saw her waste probably a full shot of espresso by picking the drink up and moving it before the shots were fully done. i then watched as they turned to their coworker and said “these were supposed to be ristretto shots, oops” and i watched as she knowingly messed up on my drink without fixing it for the second time. when it was time for the cold foam on my drink i watched raine just pour some sweet creme into a dirty blender to make my cold foam. this blender already had cold foam in it but who even knows what cold foam was in it prior. i love starbucks but if i’m paying over $10 for a drink i expect it...
