I am deeply disappointed with my recent purchase from Pottery Barn. We spent nearly $12,000 to furnish our new home, and unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The most significant issue has been with our sofa and the so-called performance fabric.
Within the first few weeks of use, the sofa began to develop stains and marks that were impossible to remove, even after following the cleaning instructions provided. This was incredibly disheartening, especially considering the hefty price tag and the assurance that the performance fabric was supposed to be durable and easy to clean.
The most frustrating part, however, has been the response from Pottery Barnās customer service. When we reached out for assistance, the customer representative essentially told us "tough luck" and suggested we spend even more money to buy new cushions. This is unacceptable and feels like a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and product quality. For a company that markets itself as providing high-quality, durable furniture, Pottery Barn has completely failed to meet expectations. We expected better quality and, most importantly, better customer support. This experience has left us incredibly dissatisfied, and we will not be making any future purchases from Pottery Barn. There were 3 employees that were standing near the drapery section not doing anything, so I thought I would get greeted or have someone help me with my order. That was not the case. I was in the store roughly 10 minutes looking at fabrics and drapes and not one person said anything to me. As I started to walk out the door a little frustrated a lady finally asked if I needed any help... the same lady that saw me walk in and go straight to the custom section. I did, but have decided to take my business elsewhere now. Itās unfortunate that the customer service is not up to par. I hope that other customers are not treated the same way I was. I may have felt differently and not written this review if they were very busy, but with employees in the store outweighed customers. Second, so many items on their website are on backorder. I just ordered two pillow covers that were to be shipped out the next day. The day they were suppose to be shipped, I receive an email that the items are out of stock for the foreseeable future. Why would you keep an item that is sold out on your website for someone to order?? If an item is not available, do not advertise that it is. Finally, I ordered a dresser and changing table topper from PBKids in January. It was not scheduled to ship until late March. The day after I scheduled the delivery I received a call saying that the topper had been recalled, but I could not find any recall information for the topper on the website. I just find it extremely convenient that right before it was suppose to ship, it mysteriously gets recalled for a vague...
